Charming oceanfront house sitting above a rocky bluff with endless views of the sea. It is perfect for couples looking to get away and relax in a quiet island paradise. The house has two bedrooms, two bathroom, a full kitchen and spacious living/dining area. You will fall in love with the attractive tropical décor, exposed beam ceilings, and solid white oak floors. Step outside onto the covered veranda to enjoy a fantastic view of the iridescent blue sea and off-shore cays. The house has air conditioning and satellite TV. Your rental also includes all linens, towels, and kitchen utensils.
Great Harbour Cay: The entire east coast of Great Harbour Cay is fringed by miles of beautiful powdery white sand beaches. Whether you want to relax in calm, shallow waters or feel the energy of large ocean swells curling along the shore, you can always find the perfect beach to suit your mood. Spend an afternoon at Lover’s Beach to watch the clouds change color as the sun travels across the sky. Take a serene bike ride to Sugar Beach Caves for a day of snorkeling and exploring. Or just relax on a beach chair sipping your favorite drink. Don’t miss a day trip to Flo's Conch Bar for fresh sea food and visit the 'Blue Hole' at Hoffman Cay on your way back. There are several uninhabited cays (pronounced 'keys'), south of Great Harbour Cay, which are perfect for a picnic or to spend a day in total seclusion.
Dining: A few restaurants on the island offer local and international fare. For ambiance and great Piña Coladas, try the Pool Bar and restaurant behind the marina. Cooly Mae’s, in Bullocks Harbour, serves excellent local food and for dessert try the famous “Guava Duff”, it is delicious. The Beach Club, down the beach from the house, is also a great place for breakfast and lunch.
Marina: Great Harbour Cay has one of the best marinas in the Northern Bahamas. High cliffs protect the harbor area from almost all inclement weather. Please contact the harbor master for boat/slip rental.

A great holiday beach in a beautiful beach house with ocean views and great! The island is fairly small, we can all leave in two days with a bicycle. Beautiful beaches and in the winter hardly anyone there, so it is undisturbed. The weather was cold the first three days earlier, at about 16 ° C, but a dream at about 23 ° C, the water is warm! All the people are nice and always welcome a. Two kayaks (one-and two-seater) we have used extensively to study the two islands. Experiences with the animal world (skates and small sharks) remain insufficient. Two restaurants, two small shops, is not much else on the island except for beach and sun - perfect for adventurers and those who want to escape from reality. Recommended: A quad-Mobile (GSM 850/1900), otherwise you cut off from civilization. Our tri-band or dual-Mobile (Europe) do not work.

We came here in October of 2014 for our honeymoon. Hans went out of his way to get us whatever we needed and was more than we expected from a renter. The house was beautiful and reminded me of something you'd see in a magazine. It was the end of hurricane season when we came and we only saw 4 people on the beach the entire time we were there. The weather was beautiful minus one day of rain. We spent that day drinking rum on the porch enjoying the view. We had a golf cart to get around the island which worked perfectly for us. We found a fisherman on the Marina and bought enough lobster to feed us for the entire week for $50. Make sure to get the Irish butter from the store. The property came with a two person kayak which we used to go across shark creek to the deserted island. Make sure to go shelling during low tide on shell beach. It's kind of off the beaten path, but worth the adventure. We loved our time there and can't wait to go back. Highly recommend!
The moment you walk into this home you relax. Everything is well done. The property is so unreal, you can,t believe how beautiful it is, the cleanest and most beautiful beach I have ever had the pleasure to visit, privacy is not an issue. We stayed for two weeks and saw four people walk by,but that may have been the same people twice! Hans cheers to you ,great job no wonder your booked solid!
Amazing, pristine, secluded, excellent fishing, nice people, perfect weather, excellent host, all around best and most perfect place ever. Mid-west couple, first time out of the country, and will never forget it. Nor will the 4 foot barracuda caught on the beach. Get there, kick off your shoes, and by the time you leave, your face will hurt from smiling. the water will literally take your breath away every morning when you wake up and look outside, and you will never want to leave. Thank you, Hans. PS- pack GALLONS of sunscreen- SPF 50 minimum!
We had read all the reviews before we booked and thought we could not be surprised when we arrived but we were and happily so. From start to finish our stay at Little House on The Berry was 5-star.
This was the most relaxing holiday, the sea front home is beautiful, it's private (no neighbours), having a Spa like feel to it as soon as you walk in the door. You're able to truly "unplug" (although free internet access was available) and forget about work and the real world for as long as stay. We traveled to a different spectacular beach each day and it was like every beach was our own private paradise.
Little House on The Berry exceeded our expectations. We loved the expansive sea view from the balcony where we were sure to be each evening as the sun set, drinks in hand, and watched the sky turn into a kaleidoscope of colours just for us. This why we can say it "Just doesn't get any better than this!"
"Ahh, those Bahama Blues, It's what keeps me coming back". That's what I said as we exited the car and gazed upon the beautiful blue water. My brother and I had just arrived at our rental - 'Little House on the Berry' with the very cordial. polite, and accommodative owner, Hans. We made our way to the covered porch and as if on queue a pod of dolphins swam by about 20 yds. off shore. This seemed a fitting reward for enduring a long day of travel that involved 3 legs on 3 different airlines. Then, we entered the beach house and found a very neat, clean and well furnished accommodations. You can read from the listing what is available. What I found noteworthy and utilized were a water filtration system, Wifi, bicycles, binoculars, books, cell phone, and Bose speakers among other things. But, by far the greatest asset and value this renal carries is its owner, Hans. He's well connected and, as such, can answer all questions you may have about the island of Great Harbour Cay. My brother and I kicked around the island from one end to the other via a rented golf cart. The guy to see for one of these is Elorn down by the harbour. Make sure you get one with lights so you can take to the roads for meals after dark. Also, be aware that some food stuffs may not be available until the mail boat arrives to replenish the store shelves. I suggest easy traveling foods that come packaged in pouches to bring along like tuna/chicken, oatmeal/cereal and condiments. This is a great place to get away from it all and it suited us well and look forward to another visit in the future. Do yourself a favor and plan one as well.
We spent 6 lovely nights at Little House and just loved it. Hans met us at the airport and took us to the house. He has everything ready for your visit and provides plenty of information about the island - things to do, where to go for things you might need. The house is charming; perfectly comfortable and well appointed. We brought frozen meat and vegetables and some dry goods and made use of the kitchen and grill. We explored both ends of the island by bike and by rented golf cart. A short bike ride front he house is a beautiful beck and Hans has a kayak you can paddle across to another cay for great snorkeling. Shark Creek at low tide is a must see as is Sugar Beach with its caves and pretty shoreline. Dinner at Coolie Mae's was a fantastic experience that included a gorgeous sunset. We had fun at the Beach Club where we played Petanque (a bocce ball type game) with some of the locals in the evening. The conch is fresh and fabulous no matter where you go to eat. We also took day trip with Percy Darville for some snorkeling, sightseeing and fishing. My husband took another trip just for fishing the next day - so much fun. Thanks again to Hans and Ruthann for taking such great care of us - we loved it!
