We live in Tacoma, WA, two hours away from Bellingham. Our oldest daughter went to Western Washington University in Bellingham. Now both our daughters and our four grandchildren live in Bellingham and we wanted to be able to visit them and enjoy the beauties and activities of Bellingham. Since we are not able to be there all the time, we want to be able to share our lovely property with others.
Sally purchased this condo in 2007
We chose this location because it is CLOSE to everything, including our two daughters! We can walk one mile to downtown and Farmer's Market. We can get on a bike trail, walk to a gym, go to stores and restaurants, and visit the Visitor's Center in 1/2 mile. In other words, it is a perfect location!
Past guests seem to love our property. They find it so convenient and like a home away from home. They love our fenced-in yard, off-street and well-lit parking, beautiful interior design, and lovely kitchen. And they can drive in a few minutes to anywhere they want!
This was a perfect home away from home with our 2 young children (3-1/2 & 1-1/2). Everything was comfortable and clean. I read through your guest book when we arrived and saw a note about Fairhaven Farmers' Market, which we immediately went to and loved! Also, Bloedel Donovan playground was perfect for the kids---and close by. We enjoyed the sand, water, and play structure. Overall, this was a wonderful stay while we traveled for a wedding up in Birch Bay. Thanks so much!
I reserved Bill and Sally's place for my three sisters who wanted to experience something away from the Seattle scene. On the website, the place looked really cozy and was in a good location in Bellingham. When we arrived, I was really impressed by the place. Everything was tastefully furnished and decorated, the location was in a quiet neighborhood (but close to all the sights), and it was spacious with 2 br, a living room, and even a fenced back yard. We really enjoyed our time here!
My husband came to work on his boat and thought he would be allowed to stay on the boat while it was in the boatyard. At the last minute they asked him to find a place in town. This condo was open by pure luck, the weekend of Labor Day and the owners and manager were quite wonderful about letting him get in there and checking rather late in the day to accomodate his work schedule. It was peaceful and quiet and he enjoyed the comfy bed and black out shades. They also were great about letting him extend his stay a few extra days. Quick response to emails and phone messages. It was a little hectic at the Windemere office to get the keys but it was on a busy weekend at the last minute.. Thank you Sandy and Bill for sharing your condo with him!
Our family reunion in Bellingham was one of our great highlights of the summer. It got even better when we came to your place on the first night and we saw how lovely and homey your condo was. It was our "cozy cottage" for the next 3 nights. Thanks for stocking the kitchen with all the odds and ends needed for meal preparation. We cooked in many times while here. You have such a nice place to prepare meals and relax in! Thanks so much. We plan to be back soon.
My husband and I plus two young kids had a wonderful time staying here for 4 nights. The location was really convenient for I-5 access, the grocery store, and quick food options. The home was very clean and everything worked out great for us. The price was the same as a one-bedroom hotel room, so this was a much better option for us for that price. Thanks for opening up your property for families like us to stay in comfort. Would definitely recommend this property to others and would love to stay here again.
I stayed here for 4 nights with my wife and 2 year old daughter. It was great. You can definitely hear the highway in the background, especially from the backyard, but it is not an issue for sleeping in the bedrooms. I am a very sensitive sleeper. From other rooms is is just mild white noise in the background. My daughter slept and napped just fine. The place has all the amenities of home and was a great base for our time in Bellingham. It was nice to be so close to the highway exit when we took trips out of town. We had minor issues with a broken garbage disposal, but the owner was very responsive and it is now repaired.
Bill and Sally's place worked great for me while I was in town on business. It is nicely furnished, very clean, airy, bright and well appointed with a very comfortable bed. I have special dietary needs and cook everything from scratch so I really needed a well-equipped kitchen and this certainly fit the bill. I had everything I needed to bake, roast and cook. It's just 3 minutes from Trader Joes, and two organic grocers by car and three minutes to the inter-urban trail by foot where I would walk to Watcom falls for a nice afternoon outing in beautiful Bellingham. The frogs and birds by the first bridge on the trail sing near sunset and I came to look forward to it after the work day. Bill and Sally were kind and helpful to me and so very easy to work with. I wish them all the best.
Within walking distance of visitor's center, grocery stores (2), coffee shops, restaurants, busline, trails, and downtown.
