I am a ranch raised Wyoming girl. As a native to the west, I know that Livingston and Paradise Valley offer all the attractions that one could want when visiting Montana. It is the perfect place to 'get away'. I hope you will come for a visit.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 2011
My husband and I stayed at the Last Best Cabin for about a week and it was INCREDIBLE. It was beautiful, cozy, and unique, and it had everything we could ever ask for and more. Every single direction around the cabin is a view that is breathtaking...my eyes literally have never seen anything so beautiful, ever. We would recommend a visit to the Last Best Cabin to anyone, anytime, from anywhere, and as soon as possible! We definitely will be coming back ourselves, and we already can't wait!
This really is the best place we've stayed through VRBO. The cabin is better than the photos and the living area a bit more roomy than I thought it would be. The property is clean and well-maintained. Our dog just loved the fenced yard. It is really peaceful and a great place to get away from it all.
We did go to Yellowstone several days, although it is about a 30 - 35 mile drive to the north enterance. We also explored Paradise Valley and went to Livingston. We loved the Sun Flower Bakery in Emigrant.
The 2.5 mile road is dirt/rock and a bit rough for a car. Glad we had 4 wheel drive. Cars can make it in and out in good weather, but wouldn't want to try in during rain or snow. But that being said I can't think of any thing about the cabin that I would change. It really is a perfect get away!
We had an amazing time on our summer road trip. The accomodatinons at the Last Best Cabin were perfect in every way. This was a wonderful base camp from which to launch our Yellowstone expeditions. The owners thought of everything... even the wifi was nice to have to upload our pictures to friends and family while on vacation. There are panoramic views from every window, the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and pots/pans, the master bed is very comfortable, gas grill on the deck... great experience.
I would, and have, recommended this to all my friends. Wonderful. Thank you so much.
My family had a great stay at the Last Best Cabin. Ginny, the owner, is wonderful to work with. When we arrived there was a bottle of wine waiting for us. The cabin is small but very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. It has A/C and Wi-Fi. The kitchen is real nice and the cabin is very clean. yellowstone National Park's north entrance in Gardiner is 35 miles to the south. The Yellowstone River is right along the main road. The best grocery store is in Livingston, just 15 miles north. The cabin is surrounded by beautiful mountains. It is very private and quiet. I highly recommend the Best Last Cabin!
We spent the 2nd week of our two week vacation to Grand Tetons and Yellowstone at The Best Last Cabin and it was amazing - from the see forever views, to the coziness, to the special touches. It was so nice to come "home" to after a long day exploring Yellowstone, Beartooth Pass, Bozeman, etc. We have two teenage boys and sometimes they can be hard to please, but they loved playing ladder ball, hanging out in the loft, etc. We took a few hikes that were in the binder and they were beautiful without the crowds of Yellowstone and the boys also fished. Paradise Valley is truly paradise! Thank you Ginny - we hope to be back soon. We toured MSU with my oldest so fingers crossed we will get to visit more often!
I rented this cabin for my parents as a surprise getaway, and they were surprised. The spent a week traipsing around yellowstone, riding horses, and enjoying the beautiful mountains surrounding this area. And at the end of the trip, they told me their favorite thing about the whole trip was the cabin. This cabin is perfect.
