Villa Clara is a beautiful and private Provençal-style, self-contained holiday home with modern amenities located in the charming medieval village of St Jeannet. Villa Clara is only 16km from Nice airport. Only a 2 minute walk to the village to French bakeries, butcher, grocer, restaurants and bars. Italy is an easy 1 hour drive away. You will be greeted by our wonderful French managers Benoit and Corinne who speak fluent English. Enjoy wonderful coastal views, terrace dining with wood fired pizza oven, swim in the private pool. The location gives you all that the busy Cote D'Azur has to offer combined with the get away from it all retreat that Provence is famous for. A car may not be necessary as there is a 30 minute bus service to train stations and the famous CAP 3000 shopping complex. The local taxi service can pick you up from the airport and take you to the house for approx 50 euros. We have furnished the villa with everything you have at home to make it a true home.

It is ideal for a family holiday, or as place to be enjoyed with friends. The villa and stand-alone studio can comfortably accommodate a group of eight people. You can simply relax at Villa Clara and explore Provence and the Côte d’Azur. Italy too is within easy reach – the Italian border is only a one-hour drive away. Travel along the coast to explore the bustle of Cannes, historic Antibes or take a short trip along the Riviera to Monaco. If you wish to travel further, Nice Airport is just 16 Kilometres away.

The large lounge is beautifully decorated in Provençale style and features exposed oak beams. Comfortable sofas, chairs and great ambiance create the perfect place to relax in front of the large fireplace. For entertainment there is a 47 ' flat screen television which receives English, Italian, French and German cable channels. There is also a DVD recorder/Video recorder, along with plenty of books and family games. If you love to cook, you’ll love Villa Clara’s kitchen. It has everything you need. Along with all the utensils, there are gas hobs and an electric oven, a microwave oven, large refrigerator/freezer, espresso machine, toaster, electric jug/kettle and a dishwasher. In the centre is an eight-seat Provençale table. The kitchen is supplied with crockery, glasses and cups (along with plenty of wineglasses, of course) for eight people. Indoor and outdoor table linen is also provided.

Although Villa Clara is designed for relaxation, it’s good to know that, if you really need to catch up on work, you can. A laptop, printer, scanner and photocopier are available, as well as wireless high speed unlimited Internet if you travel with a laptop. Villa Clara is equipped with a washing machine and a drier. Laundry tablets, for one wash a day, are provided. The laundry also has lots of storage space – ideal for storing your suitcases. Villa Clara has a delightful studio on its grounds. This is a self contained building situated just ten meters from the main Villa. Inside is a kitchenette with two electric cooking hobs, an electric jug/kettle and a fridge. The cottage has its own separate shower and toilet too, along with a small television set. If no-one in your party is using the cottage, why not simply enjoy it as a fantastic summer house – a great place to take it easy on those long, hot Mediterranean summer days.

My family of five ( 3 kids: 16, almost 14 and 12) arrived at Villa Clara after a wonderful week at the Olympics. We knew we wanted some relaxing days after the fun and excitement of London. We were greated by Corrine who showed us everything one needed in the house. But the open doors from the kitchen looking out toward Nice and the sea was a once-in-a-lifetime view. The first floor had a wonderful TV and videos for the evening since we were still interested in the closing ceremonies. The master bed and bath were great and downstairs there were 2 rooms and 4 beds for the kids. The outside cottage was a plus but really not used but it had everything The kitchen is fully equipped. The town of St Jeanette is sleepy but there are great places to eat and great markets. We climbed the local mountain and saw a goat and sheep herder. Wonderful views and really not a hard climb. Everthing was great and the caretakers, Corrine and Benoit were eager to please and show. One of the local towns farmers had given us a welcome basket with all fresh produce of the season plus Corrine's jam and tomato sauce. I just used today since I flew home with it and it was delicious. Just a wonderful place and so much sun! The kids loved the pool and my husband got to read a book by the pool which seems not too much of an accomplishment but his life is filed with papers so he really got to relax. A treasure for sure. And lastly my 14 year-old daughter water skied in Antibes--for her birthday, pretty amazing.

Wonderful and relaxing week

Pat and I had an absolutely wonderful, relaxing week in your beautiful St Jeannet home. The week went by so fast it seemed like we were just beginning to settle in when it was time to start packing for our return to Chicago Illinois.
You are to be applauded for your generosity and for your support of the Chicago Bear Gala and Cancer research. But for your donation, Pat and I would never have been able to know how spectacular the Villa Clara truly is. I will never forget how wonderful you were in accommodating our schedule and switching the Villa Clara instead of Chez Claude Apartment. Finally thank you for having Benoit and Corinne ensure that our every need here was met.

Beautiful Villa

It is with a heavy heart that we must leave this beautiful villa.Our family will have some amazing memories from our vacation in St Jeannet. Although we made numerous day trips to the Riviera, our precious memories will be hiking the Baou with Benoit and immersing ourselves in the French culture. Dinners at Chante Grill and especially pizza at Le Vieux Four were greatly enjoyed. Hopefully one day we will return.

Fantastic House

Fantastic house and location!
The children loved all the little places to hide and the views were amazing. We had mostly fine weather and toured significantly in the area. All in all a fantastic holiday. We will be back

Lovely home

Today unfortunately we must leave this lovely home.
We will however take with us beautiful memories of the comforts and magnificent views that we have experienced this past week.
Benoit has been extremely helpful and provided us with technical assistance when we needed it.
We have taken many enjoyable side trips to various locations and enjoyed some memorable restaurant meals and art gallery excursions.
We highly recommend the Maight Foundation, it is simply breathtaking.
Thanks to Anna and Bryan for creating this little piece of paradise on earth.
Your home has been perfect for us, lots of private areas to ponder the beauty of this area. Thank you so much
