Stained Glass, tongue and groove pine walls, high ceilings, granite topped kitchen cabinets, wrap-around porches, dry, wooded, private site. Easy walk to the ocean or bay, plus village amenities--Store, Yacht Club, Tennis, Churches, as well as neighboring town restaurants. ON WEEK MINIMUM RENTAL PERIOD DURING JULY AND AUGUST.

Saltaire, Fire Island is well worth a weekly or extended stay. It is a convenient base for exploring the New York area. The village is very family oriented. There is a calm bay beach, fishing off the dock or clamming farther off shore. There are all the needed amenities in the community--a doctor, village market and yacht club where membership is available.

I have been in Saltaire seasonally for almost 60 years. There is no better place to be from May till October. The road-less island environment is a major benefit.

The bay is inviting for a morning swim, then a quick stroll up to the ocean for some afternoon rides in the breakers. Anything you want is close-by---New York City, the Long Island North Fork vineyards, the Hamptons and Montauk.

Notes

  • The house can be rented seasonally and monthly with a 5% discount. MINIMUM JULY,
    AUGUST rental period is TWO WEEKS at $5,000 per week, unless there is a cancellation. Nightly off season rate May (except Memorial Day) June, September (post Labor Day) and October rate is $300 per night. Two night minimum. We try and respond quickly to all inquiries, and can be helpful in steering you to other homes should ours be booked.
