LUXURY TOWNHOUSE 30 FEET FROM BEACH!

This was our second time to Freeport. We spent the first week further east on the island and had our daughter and her family join us for our second week, staying at this VRBO. What a great week we had. The view from the bedroom overlooking the beach is absolutely fantastic. Accommodations were as we were told and expected. Mike and Diane communicate well with any questions you have before arrival, and in case their on-site manager is unavailable, during your stay.
What can I say about the beach - it is a truly beautiful and sandy beach (not rocky like some of the other beaches nearby. Swimming, snorkeling, and just walking along the beach made us forget the cold we had left behind. Fishing from the shore, in the water, or from a breakwater located nearby was a lot of fun with so many species of fish to identify, including a few Rays.
The Island Seas resort next door provided us with additional accommodations, including pool use, lounging chairs on the beach, a stronger free WiFi signal at the bar, and great food and drinks. Make sure that you try the food and the two beach food shacks near the condos and on the other side of the resort - thoroughly enjoyable food and view. In addition, Port Lucaya, and its shops and wonderful restaurants is 5 minutes away.
Overall, this was an excellent place to stay and enjoy the beauty that is Grand Bahama.

My husband and I stayed in the owner's town home for the month of February, 2013. When we began our inquiry and throughout the process of confirmation and payment, we were impressed with the quick and thorough email communication with owners Mike and Diana. They responded to questions and gave us information about the area which was very useful. Once we arrived, we were delighted that the townhouse was exactly as described. The oceanfront setting is gorgeous from the patio as well as the large master bedroom. Throughout our stay, it became more and more apparent that Mike and Diana want their guests to feel completely comfortable and at home. They have furnished the kitchen with everything we needed to cook our meals. We did bring our own George Foreman grill, since that's what we have been using almost daily in our own home, and then left it there for future guests to use. We also brought some spices for grilling, but I heard that one can buy great spices at the Farmer's market in town. We rented a car for the month, and went to Solomon's for groceries. The townhouse is comfortably furnished and there are plenty of bath towels, beach towels, and bed linens. Having a washer/dryer unit in the townhouse was vital, and we tried to use it wisely since electricity on the island is an astronomical expense for islanders. The master bed was very comfortable, but all the other beds were much too firm. Mike has since put soft mattress covers on those beds, so that shouldn't be a problem now. Over the course of the month, when we did have a problem with the phone, patio screen, dishwasher and ceiling fan. We called Catherine, and she was always right on it. Both she and maintenance man, Sandy, were very prompt and helpful in taking care of these glitches. The grounds around the townhouse are very well kept, and the neighbors very friendly. Having the option to use facilities at the next door Island Seas Resort was great. There are also a few beach hut places to walk to for supper, and a couple of restaurants at Island Seas. My husband is a diver, and was thrilled that the diving place that's less than 1/2 mile from the townhouse had a boat that left directly from the shop. They don't do 'pickups' for divers, so when he went on dives, he was able to save so much time by getting right on the boat and leaving for destination dive. The area was quiet and peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at Cannes Village was superb! Our unit, all it's amenities, it's proximity to the beach and to the market made for a dream vacation! This was our second time staying here and it didn't disappoint! We readily recommend staying here and dealing with Diana and Mike! Thanks again!!
