Beautiful Waterfront Home on Winnepesaukee with Dock & Beach.

This is a huge place with lots of space, which is great. The dock and grounds were well kept and the house was in pretty good condition. The sprinklers went off at least twice a day, once time we knew about (2 pm) and once in the morning which we found out about early on. I wish that we could have limited the sprinklers to once a day, it felt a little wasteful and the grass seemed like it was always wet. There was a bug issue in the kitchen - not roaches or anything, but moths, gnats and other little flyers found their way in as soon as the sun went down. Anything left out (like baby bottles, or other items) had dead bugs in them when we got up the next morning. Even clean dishes in the dishwasher had bugs on them when we took them out. While that was a little gross, I will say that the rest of the experience was good. The sandy area was nice for play, but not suitable for young kids as a "beach" where you can enter the water gradually. This was a nice place for families, but not for young kids (crawlers, toddlers) - several dangerous areas for really little ones.

Pros: Lots of space, sandy play area, house in generally good shape, location, nice dock and outdoor area
Cons: Flying bugs, sandy area wasn't really a beach persay, not friendly for little kids

All in all, a decent experience. While I like the house generally, we wouldn't return until our kids were much older and the bug issue would have to be corrected.

We are a family of 10 and stayed here for a week. The house was perfect! It had 3 bathrooms & 4 bedrooms. There was lots of space for our 8 kids. It has 2 docks the kids jumped off of & a small sandy beach. We would rent this house again.

Arrived on Saturday afternoon as was pleasantly surprised to find this house was very large, had an open concept living area, very functional kitchen space and big windows to highlight beautiful Lake Winni. There was plenty of space for our party of seven. There are two bedrooms upstairs (King and 2 twins) and two bedrooms downstairs (2 Queens) as well as many couches and dinning tables. There is also a full bath in the upstairs bedroom (King) and an 1/2 bath near the kitchen, downstairs, there is a full bath as well as another kitchen (we used it as a wet bar as it had a refrigerator, and easy access to the back patio with amazing views of Lake). The home was surrounded by plush greens and we felt like we were on our very own island, which was wonderful. We enjoyed the fire pit, patio furniture, star glazing, and laughs each night so much that it felt like we were camping (Smores, yummy!), yet we had great sleeping quarters. We rented a plontoon boot from Bayside Inn (right down the street on RT 11D for the week, and we were so glad we did, as Lake Winni is so huge, and you don't even realize it until you are out on the water. Took a boat ride to Wolfeboro and enjoyed an afternoon shopping and dining, visited a few sand bars and played frisbee, and took a ride to other area attractions (Weirs drive-inn, Fun Spot, etc.) as well as climbed Mt. Major.
The only cons were: sprinkler system going off during the day and getting everything wet (wood, towels) and we had to stay off the lawn during this time, a small plumbing issue, and landscapers showing up on a Tuesday morning unannounced (Realtor helped solve both issues very quickly, and I suggested they post when the landscapers arrival day and time are so that their guests are surprised like we were). I would recommend this home to a friend or relative, as well as return again to enjoy this oasis in Alton Bay.
