Photos and Description of the Oak Island vacation house rental 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, sleeps 10 in beds (no sleeper sofas)

Brand new for 2009. You are going to love this house. It is a 3 minute walk to the beach via a private boardwalk without any road crossings. The home has the best of everything: an open floor plan, well-equipped kitchen, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and seating for 8 at its beautiful dining room table, with room for 4 more at the bar. There are 5 flat panel TVs, 5 DVD players, 3 iPod docks, and surround sound in the living room. The home has high ceilings, wideplank pine hardwood floors, and custom mouldings. The 2 master suites each contain king beds and private bathrooms. The third bedroom has a double bed and the fourth bedroom has 2 sets of bunks. Each bedroom has access to a deck. The covered porch and upper deck run the length of the house and provide space for sunbathing or relaxing in the home's adirondack rockers or chaise lounges overlooking a grove of live oaks. The enclosed outside shower has hot and cold water. This home is pet friendly.

Oak Island is fast becoming one of the most popular beach destinations in North and South Carolina. With its close proximity to international airports in both Wilmington and Myrtle Beach, access by car or plane makes Oak Island a great destination for families. Known for its Lighthouse on Caswell Beach, Oak Island has incredible views spanning the Intracoastal Waterway, Bald Head Island and the Atlantic Ocean. Heading down Ocean Drive is Yaupon Beach (pronounced yoh’-pahn). It’s a nice family location that offers beach access, restaurants, a fishing pier and several hotels. Continuing down the beach, you’ll come across Long Beach which extends to the West end of the island. Oak Island is a great place for fishing, walking on the beach, or just relaxing with your family. There are enough restaurants and shops to be convenient yet not overcrowded by t-shirt shops, all you can eat buffets and traffic jams.

  • This house has lovely bathrooms. The upstairs Master has a double vanity, beautiful tiled shower with glass door and plenty of room. The downstairs Master has a double vanity, tub/shower combination and private access from suite. The third bathroom has a double vanity and tub/shower combination.

  • This house is filled with plantation style beds all with brand new mattresses and bedding. There is a King bed in both of the Master Suites. Each Master has a private bath. The upstairs Master has a beautiful tiled shower and marble vanity. Both Suites have sliding door access to a private deck. The upstairs Master has hardwood floors, a walk-in closet and a beautiful makeup table. Each Suite has a flat screen TV, DVD player and iPod docking station. The third bedroom has a double bed, private deck, flat screen television, and DVD player. This bedroom has beautiful french doors and a large closet. The kids' room has 2 sets of bunk beds and a flat screen TV with DVD player mounted on the wall. This room also has a private deck and is down the hall from the downstairs Master suite.
