Amelia Island Plantation is Florida's AAA-Four Diamond destination island resort comprising 1350 acres. Sailing, kayaking, deep sea fishing and biking are just a few of the pleasures that the island offers. A 6.2 mile biking and pedestrian trail(Amelia Island Trail) opened in May 2013 extending from the south end of the island to Peter's Point, north of the Ritz Carlton.
As of March 1, 2013, we can no longer provide the resort amenity card for our guests but there are great resources for golf, tennis and fitness outside of the resort. A variety of fine shops, restaurants, fun activities offered by the nature center, ability to rent bikes and golf carts and family activities offered at the Shops and Canopy Park are offered at the plantation without an amenity card. A short drive to the north end of the island is historic Fernandina Beach with its quaint shops and wonderful restaurants on the waterfront.

About Suzette Hodge
I am the property manager(and friend of the owner) for this condo. I have been a property owner in the resort for 23 years. I try to stay at the beach at least 50% of the time and the rest of my time at our permanent home in Athens, Georgia.
Suzette Hodge purchased this condo in 2007
Why Suzette Hodge chose Amelia Island
We fell in love with the resort when our children were very young and knew we wanted to be in a family oriented resort that offered many amenities. The resort is just a small part of this beautiful island and offers everything my family loves.
What makes this condo unique
Quiet and peaceful surroundings are what is so attractive as well as the beautiful view and proximity to ocean. We love the 'family atmosphere' at Amelia Island Plantation. Also love the natural beauty of the island and the biking paths throughout the plantation. We love to walk to different restaurants and amenities the plantation has to offer without having to drive a car. Our favorite is the afternoon and evenings enjoying the view, breeze and sound of the ocean from the patio and lawn. Downtown, historic Fernandina is only a 10 minute drive. We enjoy the the restaurants, shopping, and views of the various boats at the docks.
