This family owned vacation home is only ten years old with many premium features providing that luxurious vacation or get away on beautiful 20+ mile long Lake Leelanau. The home is available year-round and has air conditioning. The shoreline on this part of Lake Leelanau has a nice sandy bottom.
Lake Leelanau is an all sports lake for swimming, boating, water skiing, and great fishing for walleye and bass. The lake depth at shore is shallow about 15 inches deep with great swimming for kids - the lake depth gets about waist deep at the end of our 190 foot private dock. The house is suited and equipped for all ages of the family - for the seniors that don't like a lot of steps; the get-away for couples that include some nice luxury features; and amenities for the kids such as the sand box, sand toys and shallow water with a nice firm sandy lake bottom.
The cottage is perpendicular to the lake providing lake views from half of the home including the kitchen and island, family room area and master bedroom. There is a large glass slider off the kitchen that leads onto the large deck on the lake side. Patio furniture and table along with the gas grill are on the deck. The cottage is less than 100 feet from the water's edge.
There is a fire pit just a few yards from the lake. The cottage is located on a private road away from traffic and a nice environment for the kids away from traffic.
The cottage has four bedrooms and sleeps eight. The master bedroom has a king size bed, private bathroom, HD television/Direct TV with slider onto deck. One bedroom has a queen bed. One bedroom has twin beds which can be made up into a king. One of the bedrooms has a television and Blue-ray for games. One smaller bedroom has bunk beds.
The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a separate laundry room. No Smoking. No Pets, local kennel is only 20 minutes away. The waterfront cottage is just a short drive from Lake Michigan, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, Shopping at Glen Arbor, Leland, Lake Leelanau, Suttons Bay, Traverse City. Golf is nearby at Sugar Loaf, Leelanau Club, or Kings Challenge Golf Course. Two Casinos - Leelanau Sands Casino in Suttons Bay and Turtle Creek Casino in Williamsburg.
Many sightseeing opportunities throughout the entire county, many local wineries and restaurants available. Laptop computer provided with high speed internet access and wireless available. Great get-away for family vacation, color tour, skiers, hunting, snowmobilers, fishermen, golf, shoppers, and gamblers.
In the winter, snowmobiles are available for rent. You can take your boat to the towns of Lake Leelanau, Leland, or Cedar for excellent dining, sight-seeing or shopping. Gas service for your boat is available at several locations on the lake. During the summer, a pontoon boat is available for rent and available at the dock. There is a public boat launch within a couple of blocks of the house. If you bring your own boat it can be tied to the dock.
