Open airy cabin; great for our young family of six

We stayed in this lovely cabin for a family ski vacation. We were delighted at the open, airy feel of the cabin and the amount of light the large windows allowed. The cabin is accurately described with woodsy decor with many dreamcatchers (its given name) - charming. It was roomier than expected; we felt at home. The couch in the picture has been replaced by a leather/vinyl chocolate couch which was quite comfortable. The loft upstairs was larger than expected and can room six children comfortably (we had four).
I was pleased at the large number of pots/pans/utensils/appliances found in the kitchen. The owners also use a property management company which rents their cabin, so some of the equipment was well used, but still had much use in it. There is large table which can fit 10 people. Note here: the bench seat of the table is against the open stair rail that leads down to the garage. If you have an infant/young toddler (9 mo-2) who climbs indiscriminately; this could be dangerous. However, my two year old had no problem with it. Stairs to loft are open on one side (see owner's pics).
One of the highlights of the house was the outdoor jacuzzi tub. There were a plethora of towels available - much appreciated. My children found the beds comfortable. Unfortunately, I have a bad back and had a hard time being comfortable on the beds. They were firm but I woke up sore. I ended up sleeping on the couch. If you have back problems, you may want to bring a topper, etc. They have a large capacity washer and dryer that comes off the master bedroom that worked very well. The bathrooms functioned well.
While we were there, we skied Timberline because we are beginners and wanted to use the 2 mile Salamander run. We chose the weekdays for skiing and with the less than perfect weather and record low snowfall, had the resort to ourselves; excellent for learning how to ski. Great ski instructors for adults and kids! I thought the nursery/childcare facility (we used twice for total of 4 hours) was fair, workers were nice. We also tubed and ice skated at Canaan Valley Resort and hiked at Blackwater Falls. There is a lovely nature center for the refuge which my kids enjoyed.
I would return to this cabin. I think it was an excellent value for the price and met all our expectations and more. We saved money by renting directly from the owner instead of the rental company. She was responsive, helpful, reasonable and professional.
