This spacious, non-smoking Condo (2000 square feet) includes everything you might need for your stay from linens and towels to kitchen utensils. With 16 foot ceilings, a loft, and a huge private roof deck, this unit is the ultimate in beach living! This beautiful, four bedroom penthouse condominium is located in a newer three unit building on the Marina del Rey Peninsula only one block from the beach and a half block from the Venice Grand Canal. There is a king bed in the master, a queen and a twin in the 2nd bedroom, a queen in the 3d bedroom and 2 twins in the loft bedroom. It comes with garage parking for 2 cars.

Everything and more

The Galleon Street condo has an excellent location close to beach. The description of the house was quite accurate and the fact that even shampoos were provided was a great surprise. The house seemed well maintained and the owner was very polite and friendly. It was also wonderful to find the menu of the nearby Cheesecake Factory in the apartment, absolutely the tastiest restaurant we have ever visited! Also the map of the area and some fliers from sightseeing tours were nice addition, did not have to go and look form them ourselves. Though the location is good for those who love the beach, one needs a car to get around, the closest "bigger" food market was quite far away. But since the condo has very decent sized garage, we could easily fit our two cars in there. There was 7 of us staying in the apartment and there was more than enough space for all of us. We all would definitely recommend this place for others as well!

Owner's Response: The term "Quite Far Away" when referring to the grocery store is relative. The super market is 7 minutes driving from the condo and there is a smaller market that is walking distance.

Great stay in Marina del Rey Condo

The place was perfect for our 5 adults and one child. 2 more guests could've been accomodated without a problem. The furnishings are first class and the location was within easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants and Venice. The landlords were very helpful accomodating our dates and getting us acquainted with the area. We would definitely stay there again..

Galleon St. Condo

Great condo and great location. This is our second year renting this condo and we find it perfect for our needs. Its an easy walk to the beach and Washington Blvd restaurants and shops.

The condos are very clean, updated and they supply everything you need. The well equiped kitchen and outdoor grills making eating in just as enjoyable. Our family has enjoyed coming in from all over the US and staying. We plan on returning again. Great place. Great Value.

Another amazing visit to Galleon St condo!

It was our 4th yr at the Galleon St condo -- and each time, we love it more than ever! We had 4 adults & 3 kids (6 adults & 3 kids all other times, still plenty of room) and it was truly a home away from home, maybe even better because of being 1 block away from the beach and 7 blocks from Coldstone ice cream shop : - )

The rooftop deck is wonderful and a nice place to begin and/or end the day. We ate some meals there or had after dinner cocktails... For those with younger kids, the deck is very safe because there's a stucco ledge with additional railing on top, which is much more practical than glass which is relatively common on other homes in the area. Also, we had use of bikes/helmets, beach chairs/towels/toys/boogie boards -- plenty to keep us busy and entertained.

The location is very convenient to the Mother's Beach/Marina, Venice and Santa Monica. Overall, we had another amazing week in Marina del Rey and can't wait to come back next year!!

Family Beach Vacation

It is true Steven is a friendly host. The condo fit our family of 7, however the loft can be challenging to sleep-in since it is open to the living room & dinning room below. We made nearly every breakfast, lunch, & supper; grocery stores are close by (Ralphs is 2 miles away). Things I wish we would have known prior: The two bikes, beach furniture, BBQ, & garage are shared with the other renters within the complex. The roof deck view is the roof deck of the other buildings & walls to those buildings. The beach is a short walk - 3 blocks away, Starbucks & other resturants are about 7 blocks away. The beach directly straight from the condo is nice but walk about 5-7 minutes and you'll wish you would have stayed home. Venice beach is filled with street people who are on drugs & others trying to sell drugs. It would be good for Steven to invest into better blinds for the bedroom windows; each night the neighbors (around midnight) would light up their house & outside lights which shined brightly into each bedroom. Overall: Remember you are sharing several items & they won't always be available when you want to use them, soft beds, nice kitchen, check the paper products prior to Steven leaving (we ran out of items & had to replenish ourselves), plenty of beach towels, & probably shouldn't count on the 2 single beds in the loft since those people will be woke as soon as others are up. I wish our check-in & check-out could have ran smoother. We stated we might leave around 9:00 so Steven had his cleaning crew show up at 9:00 wondering when we were leaving (The cleaning crew were nice folks) but it seemed as though Steven was pushing us out prior to the check-out time. This after our check-in was happening as the cleaning crew was finishing from the people before us checked-out late and Steven was trying to replenish the condo with items; all after 4:00 (check-in time). I believe Steven left the condo around 5:00 when we checked-in. This was an OK place to stay & rent, that is why I rated it 3 stars.

Comfortable stay

We met for a family vacation (7 adults & 2 kids). The condo was perfect. Plenty of room. Everything was clean & newer. Great location - quiet & safe. 2 bikes in the garage and a bike rental shop just a couple blocks away. We enjoyed riding up to Santa Monica pier and shopping at the 3rd Street Promenade. Less than an hour drive to Disney. A lot of little details that just really made the condo perfect for us - nice beds & pillows, we fit 10 around the dinner table, 31/2 bathrooms, nice little balcony to enjoy the morning sun & a cup of coffee, rooftop deck to enjoy the stars at night, we used the grill down on the patio. We never heard any neighbors. The security is great, although we never felt unsafe in this neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone traveling with a group. The owner made it so easy to book. He responded to our inquiry right away. Great accomodations for a very reasonable price.

Marina del Rey is one of the largest, small craft harbors in the world and has been the backdrop for literally hundreds of movies and television shows from Gilligans Island to Baywatch. You can walk to the local beach which is quiet or walk up to Venice Beach where you can find muscle men, snake charmers, and chain saw jugglers. Sidewalk dining in quaint restaurants is right around the corner.
