Surry Vacation Rental house

This 3 bedroom house is located on the water in a beautiful area of Maine with a view out towards the mountains in Acadia. We brought kayaks and enjoyed the ocean immensely. The beds had clean sheets. However, the house was very poorly maintained. It smelled terrible. Apparently there was a propane leak and also the tank was low, so the whole house smelled like rotten eggs (upstairs and down) so we had to keep the gas turned off and had to run around the outside of the house to turn it on and off when we wanted to use it. They refilled the tank, and it was slightly better, but it still smelled bad. The upholstery was ripped, worn and frayed. The light over the kitchen table crashed down unexpectedly and smashed all over us. No electricity existed in the large room overlooking the ocean so no lighting and wires were sticking out instead of outlets. The cooking equipment was dirty, the window levers broken so we couldn't open the windows to get fresh air from the smell of the gas, 2 of the 3 sets of french doors wouldn't open due to broken handles, there were 2 broken half rotten chairs on the porch and the walls were covered with dirt. We did a lot of cleaning just so we could cope with it. I would not stay here again.
