An outdoor rinse station & shower are conveniently located within steps of a small side patio & back door making rinsing, drying, and storing your gear easy and convenient. Comfortable patio furniture and a propane BBQ awaits you after a full day of diving. Bedrooms are furnished with full closets, dressers, and single beds. A wash machine is available for your use as well, making longer term visits easy. Our friends own the upper level, which is identical in layout, so we are able to accommodate large families or groups.
The Neighborhood:
Villa Makoshi is a part of Perla Boneriano, which consists of seven luxurious villas. The seven villas surround a swimming pool only steps from our patio. Across the street are several resorts and dive shops including 'Bonaire Dive & Adventure' and 'Buddy Dive'. There are several restaurants/lounges located within the resorts. Next door is a gym that offers various fitness programs. Also next door is the MCB Bank which is one of the main banks on the island and has a convenient bank machine that will give you either Nafl or US Dollars. Across the street is a small convenience/liquor store and an ice-cream parlor. The ocean is across the street and accessible via the several dive shops mentioned above. It is about a 10-minute walk to downtown or a 2-minute drive where you'll find grocery stores, lots of restaurants, and shopping. The airport is about a 5-minute drive. The popular shore diving sites extend from one end of the island to the other, and we are centrally located among them.
Why Bonaire:
After visiting many popular Caribbean destinations, we visited Bonaire after hearing about the spectacular diving. Since that first visit, we've gone nowhere else! Not only is the diving second to none, the island is very different than other popular vacation destinations. When you arrive, you feel like you're visiting your second home. The island is laid back, quiet, safe, and just feels like home from the moment you arrive. We've brought many friends with us to Bonaire over the years, and most have returned to the island because they too fell in the love with Bonaire.
Other Activities:
Boating, shopping, kayaking, wildlife viewing, parasailing.
