Enjoy our beautifully renovated, top floor, 1,300 sq. ft. two bedroom, three full bath, non-smoking condominium at the Wyndham Elysian Beach Resort overlooking beautiful Cowpet Bay (also see our three bedroom, VRBO #76523 or HomeAway #248170, at the same resort). This top floor condo has all the features that you would want in a vacation condo as we stay there several weeks per year. The living area has a sectional sofa, a 42-inch TV, a DVD/CD player/stereo with iPod player and wireless internet service. It has a covered balcony with table, chairs, chaise lounge and Weber electric BBQ grill. The dining area has a table that seats six. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances (refrigertor, oven/cooktop, dishwasher, microwave), granite countertop, and an eating bar with four chairs.

There is one bedroom on the main floor with a king bed. The second bedroom is in a loft setting with a king bed and a twin bed in an adjoining alcove. Also available is a Pak-N-Play. The bedrooms have vaulted ceilings, individual quiet split air conditioning units, ceiling fans, 32' TV’s with DVD players, dressers and closets. Each bedroom has a private bath with sink (two sinks in master) and combination tub/shower. Both have private balconies with views of Cowpet Bay. The loft balcony is over-sized (14’x20’) and is perfect for enjoying the views, socializing, sunbathing and star gazing.

It only takes 2 to 3 minutes to walk to the beautiful palm tree lined beach where there are complimentary beach and lounge chairs. Here you can bask in the sun or lay in the shade of a palm or seagrape tree. We even have a complimentary beach towel service. The beach has a large protected swimming area and an area where you can snorkel. Next to the beach is a large beautifully landscaped pool with hot tub. There is also a beach bar and two great restaurants, Caribbean Fish Market, serving lunch and dinner and Sangria's serving breakfast and sandwiches and pizza for lunch and dinner. On site we have a tennis court, exercise room (fee), health/beauty/massage spa (fee) and water-sport rentals (fee). The water-sport hut can arrange boating excursions for you.

In the nearby town of Red Hook, you can take a ferry to St. John and the British Virgin Islands (passport required). The town has a dozen restaurants, a grocery store, gift and specialty shops, and a large marina. All of this is within a mile and a half of our condominium.

About Rick & Susan Taylor

Susan and Rick Taylor live in Wilmington DE, where they were born and raised. We also lived in Tulsa OK for 15 years. We have three married daughters and each of them gave us a grandchild in 2008, one in 2010 and two more in July 2011.

Why Rick & Susan Taylor chose East End

We spent our 30th wedding anniversary with our family in St. Thomas and fell in love with the island. After visiting many other islands, we returned a year later looking for real estate. We stayed at the Elysian and realized the location on island, beach, facilities, and condos couldn't be beat. The rest is history.

What makes this condo unique

The property is very well maintain. On site there are two great restaurants, a beautiful uncrowded palm tree lined beach, a large swimming pool with hot tub and pool bar, a tennis court, an exercise facility (fee), a beauty/health/massage spa (fee), and a sports equipment rental hut.

Great vacation

We had an excellent vacation! The condo is as beautiful as the pictures and was very comfortable. Rick was very helpful in setting up our trip and answering any questions we had. He even checked in with us during our trip. Our teenage children loved it, and really enjoyed the ease of being able to snorkel right at our beach. It was a fabulous trip!! We would recommend using Fishing Surfari for any fishing charters. We booked them right out of Red Hook and caught a lot of fish. A vacation to remember!!

Perfect Vacation!

We have just returned from the "best vacation ever" over New Years. Rick & Susan's condo is everything you could possible want or need while on St. Thomas - great location, great resort, great beach. We have stayed in their larger unit before and this one is just as nice....(maybe a better view in the other unit however...) The Elysian is a gem hidden away from the cruise ship crowd..small beach but on a lovely bay. It's also right next door to Red Hook where you can catch the ferry to St. John (a definite must!) and we also took the ferry over to Jost Van Dyke - beautiful trip also. I especially want to give a shout out for the kitchen supplies....not important to everyone but if you cook, it's a treat to have nice pans and utensils to work with in the kitchen....so extra points for that! Both restaurants were delicious....Sangrias has great snack food & pizza....Caribbean Fish much more upscale but also delicious. Weather could not have been any nicer, every single day. All the beds were comfy and all the rooms were spotless. Thanks so much Rick & Susan for sharing your condo with us.....we loved everything about it.....and will hopefully be back as soon as possible!

A Great Stay in A Beautiful Condo!!

My family just returned from our week long Christmas vacation. The condo was absulutely beautiful and even nicer than the pictures portrayed! We found ourselves very comfortable both in the condo and on the property. The grounds were immaculately maintained. The property has two restaurants which pretty much provided everything we needed if we didn't feel like driving anywhere. There is also a great dive shop right down the road named Aqua Action Dive Center. Wether you prefer scuba or snorkel, you will have a great time. Our dive master (Rick) was excellent. A great way to go if you prefer smaller crowds.

We can't say enough about how nice our stay was at the condo! Wether you are looking for a place to stay and explore the islands, or if you are just looking for a quiet getaway, Rick and Susuan's condo is the way to go!!

Fabulous Girls Trip

Four of us stayed at this beautiful Elysian condo from Nov.16-28. This place is exactly as described and has all of the comforts of home. The 3 full bathrooms and roomy atmosphere including 3 separate decks, afforded us all the extra space we needed. The beach and pool areas are a short walk from the condo, along with a laid back, relaxed restaurant (Sangrias) and a more expensive, high end restaurant (Caribbean Fish Market). The beach hut staff were friendly and knowledgeable- and have some great organized trips. We loved the British Virgin Islands excursion on Breakaway. Red Hook is a short drive/cab ride away, which has great local restaurants and shops. We found everyone very friendly and helpful. We all had an absolute wonderful and relaxing time and look forward to returning soon!!:)

Rick was a pleasure working with. The condo is as advertised and was well equipped with the basic needs, just pack your clothes. The location is great, only a 5-10 minute drive from dining, shopping and the ferry terminal in Red Hook. My parents, wife and I had a great time and were pleased with the condo.
