Villa Atlantique was built in 1920 for the former Kaed Mogdar. It is just situated at antique town wall and has a spacious terrace, which is surrounded by two beautiful turrets. The unique panorama view from the villa on the 18th century Portuguese port and the marvellous outlook at the long and beautiful sandy beach of Essaouira is the guaranty for an unforgettable holiday experience. Here you can relax and forget all the problems back home. In the ground floor of the villa you will find a leafy courtyard and from the the gallery situated in the first floor in front of the rooms you will have a very nice view on that spacious and green oasen in the courtyard. The second floor is very tasteful, since it attracts through its Art-Deco style decorated salon with an open chimney, two big sleeping rooms, a Maroccan style bath room and kitchen. In the third floor, you will be impressed by the panorama terrace, which offers you an amazing sea view.

  • The price for every person more than four is 70 Euro/week and person (incl. children)There are five bedrooms , that meens max 10 persons. There are no extra costs as electricity/water etc. We have a woman fore the house who comes in the morning and goes in the evening. She prepeares the meals,cleans the house, makes the laundery etc. The price fore her daily work is 10 Euro the day. The 'riad' has 3 floors. The groundfloor is a small garden, the first floor has three bedrooms and a bathroom, the secondfloor has two beedrooms a livingroom with a chimney, a bathroom and a kitchen. The thirdfloor has a wonderful terrase with a shadow sittingplace and a marvelos view to the harbour and to the beach.

Wir waren mit 2 Familien eine Woche im Haus in Essaouira und waren von seiner Lage, der Stadt, dem Strand und der die Gäste verwöhnenden Haushälterin/ Köchin begeistert. Auch die Betreuung durch den Vermieter vor und während der Reise war sehr gut.
Am schön eingerichteten, sehr hellen Wohnzimmer und dem angrenzenden Elternschlafzimmer kann man sehen, wie das ganze Haus aussehen könnte. Leider sind alle anderen Räume, Treppen, Gänge in recht traurigem, z.T. schmuddeligen Zustand.
In Essaouira ist die Kanalisation völlig überfordert, leider war die Gasse, die zu dem Haus führt, besonders eklig. Selbst wer - wie wir - reichlich Reiseerfahrung im Orient hat, sollte keine Traumvilla erwarten. Wer jedoch mit der entsprechenden Einstellung nach Essaouira kommt, der wird wie wir eine unvergessliche Zeit dort verbringen - insbesondere dank der Haushälterin, der guten Seele des Hasues.

Wunderbarer Erholungsurlaub im Mai 2008

Wir waren im Mai zwei Wochen hier und haben uns wunderbar erholt. Abholung per Taxi in Marrakesch und Empfang durch Gregia in Essaouira klappten prima. Das Haus ist sehr gut gelegen; 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand zu langen Spaziergängen am Meer (zum Baden zu kalt und windig für uns, aber das weiß man ja vorher), und genauso schnell ist man mitten in der Medina. Wenn man überhaupt einmal von der herrlichen Terrasse weg wollte, wo die "Perle" Gregia uns von morgens bis abends mit herrlichsten marokkanischen Gerichten bekochte und insgesamt unaufdringich verwöhnte! Sogar die Wäsche wurde gewaschen und gebügelt!

Die Villa ist landestypisch eingerichtet und zweckmäßig; will man den Charme eines alten Hauses am Meer, darf man nicht europäische Perfektion ansetzen. Gleiches gilt für Essaouira: Versetzt in "1000-und-1-Nacht" zu Tradition, Ambiente und Eseln, kann ich nicht unsere Vorstellungen an Sauberkeit in den Straßen aufpropfen.

In Essaouira erwartet einen kein großes "Programm". Wir haben 2 schöne Tagesausflüge gemacht und ansonsten die Ruhe, das Klima, unsere Bücher und Ausschlafen genossen. Den Tee zum Sonnenuntergang auf dem großen Platz oder am Strand; den Fischmarkt, wo wir die köstlichsten Fische eingekauft haben...

Wir möchten gerne wiederkommen und die Frühjahrssonne dort genießen!

Traumhaft

Hier eines gleich vorweggeschickt. Ich war innerhalb der letzten sechs Jahre bereits drei mal in Essaouira gewesen und habe jedesmal in diesem Ferienhaus übernachtet (Letztes Mal März 2008). Der nächste Urlaub dort steht jetzt schon von der Tür (Mitte August 2008) und ich freu mich darauf schon sehr.

Die in der Internetseite gemachten Angaben hinsichtlich der Lage sowie Ausstattung des Ferienhauses waren vollkommen zutreffend. Das Haus wird regelmäßig von einer Hausangestellten in Schuß gehalten. Wenn man es möchte muss man sich als Gast um fast überhaupt nichts kümmern und kann sich vollkommen der Erholung widmen.

Ich kann dieses Haus nur jedem empfehlen der im Urlaub ein bisschen das Gefühl von tausendundeine Nacht haben will. Außerdem ist es ein idealer Standort für Ausflüge entlang der Atlantikküste oder nach Marrakech.

Wir kommen wieder!

Wir verbrachten herrliche und erholsame Ferien in diesem so schönen und typischen Haus für Marokko. Bei unserer Ankunft war alles super organisiert sei es vom Taxifahrer der uns direkt am Flughafen abholte sowie Gregia die Perle des Hauses welche uns von morgens bis abends mit köstlichen Gerichten verwöhnte. Das Haus liegt sehr günstig man kann alles bequem zu Fuss erkundigen sei es die Medina oder an den Strand alles ist nur ein paar Minuten entfernt. Auf der Terrasse genossen wir die schönsten Sonnenuntergänge. Unsere Kinder und wir selbst freuen uns schon auf ein Wiedersehen im nächsten Frühjahr!

Essaouira - Hafenstadt für Erlebnisfreudige

Ich kenne Essaouira seit 1980. War vom Charme dieses Riad und von den Kochkünsten von Gregia sehr positiv überrascht, da in Marokko häufig die Qualität in den Hotels zu wünschen übrig lässt. War im Februar 2008 mit meinem Patenkind (11 jährig) zu besuch, welches die Grosszügigkeit des Riad schätzte.
Essaouira, welches in der Altstadt immer noch einen gewissen vergammelten Charme (mit den entsprechenden Konsequenzen (Kanalisation wird seit 20 Jahren repariert)) ausstrahlt, empfiehlt sich für erlebnisfreudige Touristen, welche schon eine gewisse Reiseerfahrung haben und in aller Ruhe diese als Unesco Weltkulturerbe eingestufte Hafenstadt erforschen wollen.
Es lohnt sich, die Wettertabellen von Essaouira genauer anzuschauen, da vorallem im Winter/Frühjahr häufig starke Windverhältnisse gegeben sind (Surfer City).
Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis von Villa Atlantique überzeugt und Gregia kocht um einiges besser als die meist überteuerten Restaurants in Essaouira.
Ich war im März/April 2008 bereits zum 2ten Mal dieses Jahr in der Villa Atlantique (zu starker Wind) und werde im September/Oktober nochmals für 2 Wochen in Essaouira sein.
