Lake Winnisquam

Everything was perfect and exactly as described, the house and yard were spotless and well-maintained. Beach area was perfect for swimming with children.
Location was great, walking distance to mini golf & a little market for necessities (milk, etc) and even ice cream. A short drive to Shaws grocery store, CVS, Dunkin Donuts, etc.
Family Tree Restaurant within walking distance, but limited hours.
Lobster Connection for take-away seafood (also walking distance) was very good. Avoid Fratellos Italian restaurant.
State boat launch was free, close, and user-friendly.
Polar Caves less than an hour away was great fun for everyone, but you need to be in relatively good shape (lots of stairs) and agile (if going inside the caves). Our 9 year old loved it - our 6 year old was scared in some places, but she did it, and even said she wants to go back. But my elderly mother-in-law struggled a bit with the stairs, and certainly could not manage the caves (very uneven footing). A great place to go except for the very young/old. Even the little zoo was interesting - feed the deer, etc. and the gift shop was good - probably the best for souveniers shopping that we found.
Wiers Beach on Lake Winnipesaukee was disappointing - after seeing it we were very glad we choose to stay on Winnisquam!
The owners of the house could not have been more accommodating - quick to answer questions, and extremely pleasant. We would love to stay here again!!
