Photos and Description of the Aspen vacation house rental
6 Bedroom, 4 bath, 2 living room - Sleeps max 10

Despite all the wonderful things Aspen has to offer, you may be tempted to just relax at home in this home away from home. Perfect for families and groups, the house is beautiful and elegant, but comfortable enough to kick your feet up with a cup of cocoa in front of the fire. With a spacious fully furnished kitchen, meals in the large dining room are an ease to make.

The large back yard and expansive deck are a wonderful peaceful feature, and the hot tub beckons all year round.

If you do venture out, summer renters can enjoy a hike up the pristine mountainside behind the house, or a short drive to the majestic Maroon Bells. Winter visitors are ski in/ski out to Highlands mountain and cross country trails.

The house includes:

2 x single twin rooms,

2 x double twin rooms (convertible to king),

1 x queen room,

1x king master suite with private living room.

Access to Public Transportation: The house is up a hill from the bus stop, probably about 1/2 mile. The bus runs about every 20 minutes, is free, and will take you right down town in about 15-20 minutes (a direct drive is about 5-10 minutes). Its a very safe simple system.

In the winter there is also a regular shuttles between the four major ski mountains, Highlands, Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, and Buttermilk. The shuttle leaves from the Highlands ski resort just down the hill.

On Site Property Manager: The property has an adjoining private apartment occupied by our long time property manager Linda. The apartment has its own private entrance and parking. There is 1 door directly into the house that is used only for maintenance and cleaning purposes. In the 20 years Linda has been with us we have never had a complaint from a guest. In fact the only comments we've had about her presence is what a wonderful resource she is.

Outdoor Amenities : The house has a hot tub and and in-ground trampoline (in summer months). While both are very enjoyable, they are to be used at your own risk and discretion.

Outstanding place to stay (and a great value) in the Aspen area

Our group of 6 rented this lodge for our annual 14er climbing trip. We couldn't have been happier with the accomodations. The property was exactly as described on VRBO. It was comfortable, very clean, well maintained, well stocked, and had plenty of room for all of us. It is located a short 5-minute drive from downtown Aspen. The rate was also very affordable for a 6 bedroom home in the Aspen area. The on-site house manager was fantastic! She answered all of our questions, took care of our special requests, and freshened up the house daily during our stay. The home owner was very responsive in answering my questions and providing rental details.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone looking for a large, comfortable lodge near Aspen. You won't be disappointed.

Aspen Summer

5 of 5
Submitted: August 24, 2012 Stayed: August 2012
Thank you for providing a great home for my friends and I to stay at during our first trip to Aspen. Alhough your home isn't directly in downtown Aspen, it didn't matter because we had a car to do short day trips to the Grottos, Ashcroft, Maroon Bells, and Glenwood Springs. So, the short 5 minute drive to downtown wasn't bad at all. I am sure during the winter the ski in-ski out access to Aspen Highlands would be super convenient so we look forward to future winter stays at your home. Your home isn't luxe to the Aspen billionaire standards, but since we're not billionaires it didn't matter. We liked its location, setting, size, warmth, and coziness...everything we expect from a mountain lodge. The hot tub and trampoline got a lot of use too. And, the Aspen Recreation Center (the "ARC")located a short walk at the end of your street had a great cardio room, ice rink, and swim area. I just used the cardio room, but if I was a kid, then that's where I would want to spend my entire day. I should also note that the airport is just a short 10 min drive away too. Very convenient.

Thanks again,
Justin

Beautiful Home and a Great Week of Skiing

5 of 5
Submitted: February 28, 2012 Stayed: March 2011
I travelled to Aspen with a group of friends and we enjoyed a week in this beautiful home. Because some of us planned to ski every day and others were aiming for a bit more breadth (activities off the slopes) we were fortunate to find a place that was convenient for everyone. I especially enjoyed skiing home from the mountain through the backyard and right up to the edge of the hottub. I would stay here again in a heart beat. Highly recommended.

Perfect house to stay at in Aspen!

5 of 5
Submitted: June 2, 2011 Stayed: March 2011
I stayed in this house with a group of 7 other people for a week. The house itself is beautiful, and really just perfect for a fun getaway with close friends or family.

The accommodations exceeded my expectations in comfort and cleanliness. I stayed in the bedroom on the lowest floor, and the bed was not only gigantic but just as comfortable as my pillowtop mattress at home!

The social areas (living room and kitchen/dining area) are all on the same floor which is great. You can have your space when you want to and hang out when you want to.

The big kitchen/dining space is wonderful for hanging out, drinking wine, and eating yummy comfort food after a long day of skiing (or in my case learning how to ski :) There is also a hottub to unwind in after a long day.

Aspen isn't exactly that big of a town, but the house is situated in a place that was really easy to get to all the different mountains (and very close to Buttermilk).

Linda, the caretaker, is ridiculously sweet and warm, and she does a great job of keeping the property as well as giving tips/help to newbies :)

The next time I go, I will definitely try to stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone else visiting Aspen too!

Great place to stay in Aspen, Colorado!

5 of 5
Submitted: February 24, 2010 Stayed: February 2010
My wife and I just came back from a trip to Aspen, CO in February, 2010. We stayed at the same place last year as well. Everything is great, from the location to the ski area (you can actually see skiers going to the Highlands in the backyard), as well as the house itself. It's very well kept and the hot tub is great, even in 5 F weather :) it's large enough for a family of 10 to stay in (or a group of friends), and has gorgeous view in the morning. It's also very close to Buttermilk ski area along with the heart of downtown Aspen.

The property is very well maintained and the woman who does the maintenance, Linda, do a great job on the property.

It is also very quiet because it is a house by itself and not a hotel full of teenagers.

Oh, and the fireplace is really nice - nothing beats sitting next to an actual fireplace burning real wood after a day on the mountains! (and the hot tub too!)

Highly recommended, especially if you have a group of close friends or family/kids/etc.
