The Stone Cottage is centrally located in Northern New England just one hour north of Boston, Massachusetts and 45 minutes south of Portland Maine. New York City is a 5 hour drive to the south. We overlook the Atlantic ocean and the entrance to York Harbor. The Beach is just step away from our front door. Just a few minutes down the road is the famous Nubble Lighthouse, one of the most photographed lighthouses in the country. We are also a short drive to the North Conway in the White Mountains of New Hampshire (1.5 hours), well known as a skier's paradise and spectacular fall foliage. The historical town of York Harbor is small, quaint and picturesque- a wonderful example of a coastal New England village. The town of York Beach is 3 miles to the north, offering shopping, arcades, bowling and York's Wild Kingdom Zoo and Amusement Park. The Old York Historical Society Museum Buildings are within walking distance, as is the harbor and Wiggly Bridge Recreation Area.

The York Harbor Inn and its wonderful Cellar Pub and The 1637 Restaurant and Tap Room are right next door. This cottage's interior has been professionally decorated and retains many period architectural details, all adding to its charm and character. The kitchen has recently been renovated with stainless steel appliances and countertop. The high ceilings, beautiful hardwoods, and amazing windows give this unique home a roomy, yet cozy feeling. The lovely side garden and lawn provide a wonderful place to sit, relax, and watch the boats parade in and out of York Harbor. The Hartey Mason Reserve Park lies just across the street, with lovely gardens, footpaths and scenic ocean vistas.
