This sunny one bedroom cottage home located just off Main Street on a private road is the perfect getaway for two -- or a quiet retreat for an artist, writer, or anyone seeking solitude. In the early morning and evening, there is plenty of bird activity to enjoy from the new deck and patio overlooking the beautiful yard. Annuals overflow window boxes and there are fragrant roses and blue hydrangeas to delight you. Gentle breezes blow through the lace curtains -- all adding to the quintessential Cape ambiance. From the stylish Nantucket decor to the recently renovated kitchen with all new appliances (including gas range and Bosch dishwasher), this place is a cut above other Cape rentals. Everything has been planned for your comfort and convenience. The location is ideal -- equidistant to ocean or bay and town or village. The cottage is suitable for 2 people, ages 10+.

The property is wonderfully located for exploring the Cape and Islands with easy access to Nantucket via the Harwich ferry, Martha's Vineyard from the Hyannis ferry, or P'town for whale watching. Seal cruises out of Outermost Harbor, Chatham. But if you want to stay put in Orleans, there is so much to do! - Rent a kayak or canoe from the Goose Hummock Shop and explore Town Cove and Nauset Marsh - Look for seals frolicking along Nauset Beach - Park at one of the many town landings and go for a walk - Dine in one of the terrific restaurants in town (Abba is my favorite) - Take in an Orleans Redbirds game at Eldredge Park (a short walk) - See a local production at the Playhouse (down the street) - Shop for organic produce at the Orleans Farmer's Market - Catch a sunset at Rock Harbor (incredible!) - Browse local shops and galleries - Relax with a massage or facial at one of the spas, salons around town - Bike from cottage to Crystal Lake for a fresh water swim
