Nice 2,100 acre ranch with two secluded rustic cabins. The land can be used for many things, great for hiking the hills, horseback riding the trails, and great open areas for large or small get togethers.
The cabins are nestled at the base of a mountain only 25 minutes from SW Denver suburbs. Situated on 2100 acres, these restored cabins combine modern amenities along with total privacy. The main cabin features one studio type room, with king size bed on the main floor, a living room and a large kitchen with dishwasher that has a deck overlooking the barn and corral. A second room is located downstairs and there are two lofts with 3 beds total above studio area. Then in the lower basement of the main cabin there is a separate room that contains a queen size bed.
More photos go to www.arisingstarranch.com: A converted bunk house has become The Long Branch Saloon and features a bar, a Foosball table and one loft with a futon mattress. The property offers spectacular views and excellent hiking and hunting opportunities. A lake located ½ mile off of the property is owned by the Denver Water Board and is open to fishing for trout, perch and crappies. Many trails for any off road vehicles, or horseback riding; Large range of wildlife to share with. We are ideal for small weddings or family reunions. We are located 25 minutes from Southwest Denver and Conifer.
Many of our visitors send photos of their Colorado Wedding and visit to the property. You can see more at www.arisingstarranch.com. I think you will see the property has much more to offer than most. Horseback riding with horse rental will be added in 2010.
I had a wonderful time at the cabin! Absolutely beautiful land and views with awesome trails to explore the woods. Not a far drive to town for dinner. The solitude was so peaceful and relaxing, which made a fun trip! Danny and his daughter were such a pleasure to meet! I look forward to returning for a CO visit at the cabin!!
This vacation cabin(s) is truly one of a kind. Nestled deep in the valley with wonderful views of the Rockies all around...I could not have asked for a more peaceful setting. Both cabins are well maintained with all the modern amenities. Anyone concerned with the road leading down to the cabin...need not worry. We had 3 vehicles with only one being a 4X4 and one of the others being a compact car. Even after 3 nights of heavy rain ....we had zero problems getting in or out. With day trips to Rocky Mountain National Park and Pikes Peak and also just a short drive to Denver...this makes for a perfect location. Danny and his daughter were gracious hosts and seem to be the "salt of the earth" type of people. We are already in the process of planning a return trip to the Denver area again next summer and fully plan on staying at this rental.
Danny was very accomadating in resolving the issue we had when we booked the place for our vacation in early october. I was not a good fit for our family. He refunded half of the money we put down.
This was a perfect location so spend our family vacation. Ever since my husband purchased his Polaris, he's been itching to take it somewhere besides the farm to spray weeds. Since we have two Grandsons, we thought this would be a perfect place to take them along with the rest of our children, their spouses and signifcant others. The drive in was an amazing view! When we got there, we had so much fun exploring the cabins and the surroundings. Shortly after we arrived, our children and grandchildren got there. Immediately, our grandsons jumped on the Polaris and wanted to ride. I believe we put on over 10 miles just driving the trails the three days we were there. I'll never forget the smiles on their faces! Everyone was responsible to bring a meal for everyone to enjoy. We had the best food and adult beverages during our time here. The owner and his girlfriend even took a break and enjoyed a meal with us one evening. Oh what fun we had! The grandsons loved playing foosball in the game room and the adults played "corn hole" which was a game our son brought from home. We caught fish in the lake and our oldest grandson (along with his Uncle TJ) caught a walking catfish in a small puddle west of the main cabin. Evenings were spent making smores around the fireplace. I would definitely recommend this location for a family vacation and just for getting away to relax! I'm in the wireless business and I must say, I didn't even miss not having a cellphone or email access. Thanks again Danny for allowing us to stay on your awesome property!!
My son and I went hunting on this ranch in Oct 2008. It was a trip I had planned for a long time and I wanted to make it a trip of a lifetime for my son. The owner of the property, Danny, make us feel welcome from the moment we got there. We had a great stay and found the property and surrounding area just beautiful. We stayed in the main cabin which was a nice cross between rustic and modern. If you are looking for peace and quiet, great views, good hunting and fishing you'll love this place. As for the hunting part, if you check the hunting photo link with the ranch's web site my son is the kid with the large smile along side of his bull elk in the field which he shot on the last day of our visit. He and I both shot mule deer earlier in the week. Each year around this time I visit the web site to reflect on that great trip. I am looking foward to a return trip in the future and have several friends that would like to come with me. I found this page by accident but am happy to tell about the nice time we had, and the momories, and friendships we made that will last forever
We stayed here the beginning of August and I hope we can make it out again! We have a Ford Edge that we traveled in and had no problems going up or down to the cabin. The scenery was amazing every morning and night was like a photo on a postcard, also loved watching the hummingbirds that would grace our presence at the feeders! Our two sons absolutely LOVED the cabins and wished we could have moved there. Also loved meeting Danny and his girlfriend. They are amazing people with great hospitality. We had the privilege of using the two four wheelers and we able to explore all day and the youngest boy now loves 4-wheelers when he was once afraid of them! All in all if you are looking for a great place to stay that isn't far from Conifer(or even Denver) this would be it!
