Not good for young kids

The house smelled when we walked in. The second floor was extremely hot even with the thermostat set to 70. The floors, utensils and house in general was filthy. The wicker furniture is not comfortable. This is not a house for young children. The infants were covered in dirt and sand because the floors were filthy. The vaccum was not effective. The house is not worth the amount of money spent. The two PROs of the house are the beach is 3 houses away and the screened-in back porch (when its not 90 degrees+ - not homeowners fault). The beach, however, was beautiful.

Owner's Response: The review submitted July 22 is shocking to us. The second floor has a separate thermostat so it will cool off, if set as directed. The home is professionally cleaned prior to each occupant and if anything is out of the ordinary, it is reported to the local real estate management company. We verified that were no issues reported and the security deposit was returned to the previous renter. Just a side note, the carpet was new at the beginning of this year. Most of our guests, including family members, have children and have never had a problem. It is unfortunate that this renter did not call the management company or the owner upon arrival to report the concerns as we both are always responsive. Staying at our home (including the screened porch with overhead fan) continues to make a wonderful vacation at South Bethany Beach.
