This 2 bedroom suite sits high above the grounds and you feel you're in a grand tree house as you look out the large picture windows that overlook the water garden, the ponds and stream directly below. The entrance opens to a great room with 16 foot vaulted ceilings of honey colored knotty Pine. Walnut stained pine plank flooring gives a casual elegance to this suite as well as the ledge rock fireplace and hickory kitchen cabinets. This suite is air-conditioned in Summer and heated in Winter by thermostatically controlled system. The gas fireplace exudes ambiance for those romantic evenings. Satellite TV and wireless Internet allow you to stay in touch, yet relax in beautiful surroundings. Heavy barn wood posts are vivid reminders of this ranch's history. It is located on the far side of the property with it's own entrance from the paved parking area to the front door. After a day of sightseeing this suite restores you for tomorrow's adventures.

We are located 10 miles Southwest of Sedona; a short 15 minute ride on the new Highway 89A. Enjoy a beautiufl drive through red rock country to this idyliic, peaceful spot on Lower Oak Creek. We are not too remote or isolated, but are at an equal distance to activites in Jerome as well as Sedona.

  • The first bathroom is in two sections; one has the shower and toilet- the other has the vanity with sink across from the closet which holds extra blankets, towels and Terrycloth spa robes for two. It has tile floors and counter top, gold fixtures, and shower plus a wall to wall closet with mirrored doors. The second bathroom is a large one with jetted tub, granite surround and counter, tiled oversized shower and floor with plenty of rich fluffy towels and terrycloth spa robes for two.

Sliding glass doors to the private porch can be left opened on Summer nights where sounds of the stream will lull you to sleep. The bath in regal tones of gold and red is accessed through this bedroom and offers a shower, sink and commode. The second bedroom features a dark walnut king size sleigh bed flanked by 2 nightstands of the same and a large Armoir set against rich terra cotta and knotty pine walls.Framed artwork reflects the Southwest experience with desert scenes and western red rock scenes. The bathroom accessed from this bedroom offers a 6 ft jetted tub, oversized tiled shower and rich walnut cabinetry. The wall to wall windows give a great view of the gardens below and the private porch offers a porch swing that beckons you to relax with a glass of wine and a good book.

A wonderful birthday surprise

I wanted to give my wife a birthday getaway outside of the normal hotel,big city stay.I discovered this place on the internet and thought i would give it a try and i am very glad i did.The second we opened the door,we were at ease. We looked the place over and just smiled.We took a nice jacuzzi that night and just relaxed.We went to town the next day,but were anxious to get back to the cabin.My wife at the end of the stay came to me in tears and said it was the best birthday she ever had.A truly serene destination i would recommend to anyone wanting to relax,we will be back soon.Thank you Shirley,Steve and Karen.

The Perfect Retreat

This is a beautiful retreat just a few minutes outside of Sedona. The setting is peaceful and private, yet you can pop into town for dinner. We enjoyed swinging in the porch swing listening to the birds. The open airy living room and knotty pine woodwork is gorgeous and the reclaimed wood used in the kitchen and dining nook gives the place an old home feel. The wall of windows give you full view of the pond and gardens and huge trees. That bed is sooo comfortable too. When they finish the second bedroom it will be a double master suite perfect for two couples traveling together.

We've stayed in the Girdner Suite too. It's has everything you'd need, a roomy, but cozy quiet space and high ceilings. The owners are next door, but you'd never know they were there. We'll be back. If you want to avoid the tourist crowds, stay here, but don't tell too many people!
