Your island home is located above Magic Sands beach, just minutes from shopping, restaurants and nightlife.
You will love entertaining family and friends in our newly decorated 2700+ square foot home; there are great spaces for groups, and also quiet, private spaces for relaxing with a favorite book. The kitchens have everything we could think of to make preparing meals fun and rewarding, including bright colored Fiesta dinnerware and unique stemware to serve exotic treats.
There is a collection of books on indigenous fish, flowers, wildlife and local attractions for your use while exploring the island. There are books, games, DVDs, videos, and music for relaxing at home.
This home offers the ultimate in vacation living; the upstairs has a gourmet kitchen with a dishwasher & gas cook top stove, formal living room & dining room, ocean view lanai with dining & serving area including a sub-zero wine refrigerator.
Downstairs has an entertainment room with island-style furnishings, tiki bar, a full kitchen, as well as two sleeper sofas for added versatility when accommodating guests. All bedrooms and living areas have cable television and VCR/DVD players. Private pool area has comfortable lounges, another dining area, refrigerator, gas grill, outdoor shower in a lush garden setting. Most furnishings are new. WI/FI and domestic long distance are included.
My name is Kathy Doran. I am the owner of this beautiful Hawaiian vacation home. I actually bought it as my retirement home, then my daughter had children and I could not live away from my grand-babies. So, lucky you, my house is available!
This home has a beautiful ocean view. It is perfect for family reunions and large groups. 12 people can sleep in beds and we have futons and port-a-cribs for additional sleeping. I have a wonderful property manager. Her name is Char Noble and her phone number is 808-44three-1seven3one. Please do not call her to book this unit. She will help any of our guests though and her number is provided at the house. She is a local person, so she has many connections on the island and can help with your needs, such as a chef to cook that special meal. I don't book my property until I have shown the prospective guest the house on my website, so that you know the layout and if the house can accommodate your group. The house is located in a quiet family neighborhood. I operate a legal unit and conscientiously pay my taxes on this rental. My tax ID number is Wthree0onefive4threetwo6-zerotwo.

What can I say? We had the most wonderful time at this home, a memory that will last us a lifetime. We were looking for a quiet home to spend a week of relaxing, something in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to island activities so that we didn't spend hours in the car getting to all of those special places. The location of this home is perfect. Close to the town and all the shopping needed or wanted on the big island, restaurants and beaches. It is the perfect location for all of the before mentioned.
When we arrived at the home we were delighted to find the caretaker on premise to answer any and all questions we might have. She was a charming lady who took care to notice the make up of our group and point out the special things available to each of us.
The home owner has taken care to provide pack and plays for children, high chairs, strollers and even baby gates - all of which were important to us. In addition she has provided separate beach toys/accessories in the garage including beach shoes, towels, toys, beach chairs, beach umbrellas and snorkeling equipment for a number of people. We lacked for nothing!!! In addition she provided in the pool room toys for the pool as well including floaties, baby rings, noodles, etc.
The pool was heated by solar and so comfortable in temperature that we could swim any time of day or night and found the temp to be perfect for whatever time we chose to swim.
The kitchen(s) is (are) supplied with absolutely every appliance and utensil one could possible ask for. The abundant supply of dishes, pots and pans, glasses etc. were amazing.
The bedrooms (4) all have towels, both beach and bath, for all staying in the rooms. There are TV's in each of the bedrooms (although we didn't spend time watching much tv) with cable for each and internet access both inside and outside out side the house.
All in all it was one of our best vacations ever, not only because the weather was perfect, but primarily because of all the amenities this properties has to offer. I would recommend it to all.

The kitchen had everything you could have needed. I would have loved to stay longer, and would come here again for a family vacation gathering.

Big Island Home
I am recommending "Paradise in Kona" as a fabulous destination vacation for a family with or without children, friends who want to hang out, a few couples who enjoy each other, sisters, or virtually any configuration of individuals who want to spend more time together.
The four separate bedrooms provide privacy, three bathrooms, newly remodeled with beautiful tile, allow many people to clean up at the same time before going out to dinner together.
The swimming pool is divine; my two grandchildren, ages 4 and 6, spent hours swimming, playing, and jumping into the pool. We even had a night time pool party. They loved it!!
There are two kitchens equipped with pots, pans, cutlery, plates bowls etc. All of you can move right in, living the good life, with everything you need to relax and enjoy!
I love that with all of the various lanais, vacationers can read a book in solitude or have a private conversation.
I guess what I really want to get across to any prospective guests is this sense of both homey comfort and secluded privacy. It feels almost like you are on your own private island.

My family and I really enjoyed staying at your beautiful home. There was plenty of room and the kitchen amenities allowed us to do a lot of cooking instead of dining out all the time. The refrigerator and pantry were well stocked with food staples and condiments, which was a very nice surprise.
We enjoyed having the pool and the lanai area - we made a lot of use out of it on the days that we were just at the house hanging out. And we have some awesome sunset pictures over the beach from the lanai! Location to the downtown Kailua Kona area as well as the Magic Sand beach couldn't be much more convenient, as we made many trips to that area for Ironman week festivities.
I also want to say thank you for your flexibility to accommodate my parents staying into the evening at the house since their flight didn't leave until late that day we had to check out. It was a relief not to have to worry about them.

This home is a great place to be home base for a Kona vacation! My family and I came for a week and when we were not enjoying the sights that the island has to offer, we were swimming in the heated pool, cooking in the fully stocked kitchen, playing board games, and enjoying the comfort of this home! The owner, Kathy was wonderful to work with, and there were no surprises when we got there. The home was exactly as the pictures and Kathy described it, and the property manager, Char, made us feel welcome as well. We didn't want to leave, and we can't wait to come back again!
This was by far the best vacation!!! Eight of us rented Kathy's home for two weeks March 1-15,2014.Kathys home is beautiful has everything you need,kitchen was stocked with all appliances,there was plenty of room for us all,a couple of the overhead fans didn't work but house has air conditioning so not a big deal about the fans,we would recommend this home and would definitely stay there again,Kathy was on top of any questions we had,and very quick to call back if you needed anything.Thank you Kathy for sharing your home.
Our beautiful ocean-view home is located at the 300 foot elevation in a quiet neighborhood in Kailua-Kona. It is convenient to everything. By various routes, it's 5 minutes to beaches, downtown, shopping, the farmer's market, or grocery stores.
Partial day or day trips can be made to Kealakekua Bay, The City of Refuge, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, or Rainbow Falls.
Check our calendar for availability, then book an open week or more between June 1st and September 30th for $300 a night for up to 6 people. Each additional guest is $25 a night.

Prices quoted are for up to 6 guests. Additional guests are $25/night per guest. There is $350 cleaning fee. The Hawaiian tax rate of 13.42% is applied to the total rental cost and the cleaning fee. I also charge a refundable $500 security/breakage deposit, which I regularly return to guests. My second payment is due 45 days before arrival.
Ironman/Christmas 10 day to 2 week minimum.
