Great Family Vacation House

Our group of 4 Adults and 4 young children spent a week at this house in February 2010. We stayed at a different house in Lake Berkley last year and we found this house much nicer than the one we had last year. This house was very clean and child friendly. For those of you will small children, we rented the playpen and high-chair for the week. My wife and I stayed in the larger master bedroom and found the bed very comfortable and lots of storage space with the walk in closet in the large master bath. The kitchen was well equipped, however, we could not locate any baking sheets for using the oven and the handles were all loose on the pots (which almost ended badly with a pot of boiling water almost tipping over when picked up).
Luckily we had some warm days and were able to use the pool and deck area. We did run into a problem with the pool heater though. We did not have pool heat for the first 3 days of our vacation. The owner had the pool heater replaced, but we were surprised that we were not offered any kind of rebate for the days we were without heat that we had paid for (I did not personally request a rebate, I had assumed that it would immediately be offered as a good will measure). Once the heater was replaced and the pool up to temp, we spent a good deal of time swimming and splashing with the kids. We could not imagine staying anywhere other than Lake Berkley and we will certainly keep this property on our short list for next year.
Overall - We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at this house. Our list of Pro's certainly out-weighs our list of Con's.
