My dad's side of the family is from Pinetop, Arizona. I have always loved the area and hoped to own a home there someday. While looking at homes for sale in 2007, one in particular caught our eyes. When my wife liked what she saw my dream became a reality and we bought our cabin in May 2007.
Our cabin was built by Stewart and Genevieve Elson in 1972. It is now called Adair Springs Cabin, in honor of my ancestors who founded the town of Adair where Fools Hollow Lake is currently located and who later settled in Pinetop and Lakeside. It is used as a second home and vacation rental. I hope my guests enjoy the cabin as much as we do.
Thank you for making a getaway to Pinetop affordable! So many other rentals are pricey and for large groups. We adore your little cabin and look forward to coming again. Well Done!

This cabin is loved by the Adair's and it shows! In a quiet neighborhood but right in the heart of town. We went over New Years Eve when a lot of snow came, absolutely beautiful...
The fireplace is definitely a huge bonus!
My only advice is that if you do not have a 4WD to use Rim Road... :)
Cabin was clean and cozy. Yard space allows for BBQ and fire pit. Décor rustic, full kitchen, fireplace, cable TV and comfortable bedding. Cabin is perfect distance from city (Pinetop/Lakeside), far enough in the woods to see the stars but no more than 10 minute drive. I've been twice already and looking forward to the next!
We loved this little cabin! It was only minutes away from the woodland lake and sledding. We have a toddler who loved sleeping in the top bunk. Our 8 month old slept in our portable crib right next to our bed. There were fun movies to choose from and the fireplace made a great spot to roast marshmallows. We highly recommend it!
It is just fair. The cabin is old and somewhat worn. I can see it being a nice little cabin if it was actually something you owned, but if you are paying just for a night or two? No...I'd pass. Carpet in bedrooms old/worn and needs to be replaced. Cabin is located in a neighborhood with trailers and barking dogs. I have no doubt that the owner and his family really care about it and are honest but it isn't good enough for the price in my opinion. If they spent some money to freshen it up it would be a positive.
We have stayed at this cabin twice and have already booked our next trip. This cabin is very close to all the amenities. The cabin is in a very quiet neighborhood. The cabin is always very clean and well furnished. It has a warm, cozy and comfortable feeling. This cabin has always been very easy to rent online and the owners are always very accommodating. I would highly recommend staying at Adair Springs cabin.
Loved it. The owner's love for this cabin is reflected on it. It is clean and cozy, the beds are comfy, it truly feels like home. Secluded, beautiful location yet very convenient access to and from Sunrise Park Ski Resort. Close to Grocery store. No dishwasher and linens need to be washed and dried. However since they did not request a checkout time we finish the work after our ski day was over. The option is to bring your own linens and not have to worry about it. Having a place to get changed on that last day of skiing was great.
