Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Angie,

We had a great time staying at your place and I hope that your cleaning person found it neat and orderly upon their inspection.

I just wanted to say that we all loved the place - the layout and the convenience of the location were perfect. It was really the perfect little place and we'll all be recommending it to anyone we know planning to stay in Astoria. Thanks again,

Mike

Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed staying in this very clean well kept home. Our party had four adults and our twin toddlers, and there was plenty of room for everyone. We were advised to bring a baby gate for the stairs and that worked well. The owners were very accommodating in letting us arrive early and answered any questions we had regarding the home and the area. We were a little leery when we pulled up, the house looked lovely, but we thought the surrounding roads would be loud and a problem, the downstairs is very quiet and comfortable. You do get a little more road noise upstairs though. The linens are soft and comfortable, the towels are well supplied! We were able to make meals without any trouble in the kitchen. We were even able to iron our clothes for the wedding. Overall, the stay was perfect. We didn't mind the stairs, you are in Astoria - that is to be expected! Thank you and if we are in the area - we will stay here again.

classy/vintage Astorian house

  • 5 of 5

We loved this property. The house was perfectly clean and felt very comfortable for our family of 6. They kids enjoyed sleeping on the air mattress. Both rooms are very large and have plenty of extra floorspace. The house is full of character, nice wooden floors, beautiful staircase and we really enjoyed hanging out in the sun room. The weather was sunny while we were there, so we enjoyed the view and the activity going on outside from the this front room. Great view of the bridge and the ships as they came through. The kitchen had all we needed to cook and we used the things that were there. The bathroom was also very clean, and the half bath on the back porch was fun too. The beds were also very nice, clean, high quality sheets made sleeping very easy. Every email or phone call was returned and answered very promptly. We hope we can stay again. Thanks to Kelly.

Very nice house in Astoria

  • 5 of 5

This is a very nice, well kept house with a view of the Columbia river.

Downstairs has a nice porch for viewing the river, a living room, dining room, and kitchen are all large and comfortable. There is a small 1/2 bath downstairs for convenience.

Upstairs has two large bedrooms and a bathroom.

There is a nice washer/dryer in the basement for use.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was very convenient to our sightseeing destinations around Astoria.

A small note of caution... the stairs to the second floor made me nervous for my Dad, but he managed ok. Would not recommend for the very elderly.

Nice home, good location!

  • 5 of 5

We (2 couples 60+) spent a few days in Astoria in mid June. I had some doubts as to the location of this house- on a busy road, with the ramp to the bridge right behind the house - but it was no problem at all. The location was great. A very good fish place across the street; also for breakfast!! We took the trolley, a 3-minute walk, to the museum. The house was immaculately clean, very comfortable and roomy.

If returning to Astoria, we would love to stay at this house again. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful house, with a lot of character, and quite the charm

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I love to go to Astoria Oregon to celebrate our wedding anniversary each year ever since we celebrated our honeymoon there 14 years ago. We loved this house, it was very lovely, comfortable, and the layout was perfect and peaceful. Watching the sunsets on the enclosed porch was so romantic, we will cherish our time there always. The owner was such a delight, wonderful communication, very kind and thoughtful. I apprectiate you so much! I hope you liked the paper towel holder for the kitchen. I love to add a special something to a house when we stay somewhere, and when I saw it I thought what a perfect match and had to get it, I hope you like it as well. We will definantly stay at this wonderful house again, what a magnifacent view of the bridge. Thank you so much, we highly recommend this house!
