Myself and three girlfriends rented this house for week ski trip. It was surprisingly nicer than the photos show. Two bedrooms in the downstairs made it very easy to move suitcases in and out. The bunk beds were sizable and comfortable for adult women to sleep in. The second floor living space was large and made staying in for dinner one night quite comfortable. We could easily congregate at the bar area, couches or dining table. The balcony on the second floor level had a great view of the mountain. The bedroom on the top floor was very large. There was a foam roller in the closet in the upstairs bedroom which came in quite handy after a long day of skiing. Having two bathrooms made it easy for us to all shower and hit the town after skiing. It was an easy 10 minute walk to get to the bars and restaurants in town.
The parking for the house is on a back alley, not front street. It would have been difficult to find but the owner gave very good directions. We only had one car but if we had another parking would have been a bit difficult.
We would definitely consider renting this house again if we get back to Crested Butte. A great house and pleasure to deal with the owner!
This place was absolutely fantastic! Spacious, well-appointed, short 7 minute walk to town in a quiet setting. Beautiful views of the mountains in every direction, and a great balcony for morning breakfast. Exactly as advertised. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
We spent the 4th of July weekend in Crested Butte at this beautiful house. The minute we walked in, we felt right at home! The kitchen was awesome, the bedrooms were comfortable and our favorite was hanging out on the deck with our morning cup of coffee and our afternoon cocktails! The proximity to town was awesome! There were running and bike trails right out the door! We never needed our car! Thank you Kimberly for making everything so easy! We will be back!
We could not have asked for a better experience with both the owner and our stay. The place was just as advertised and a great fit for both location and accommodations.
We stayed at this lovely three bedroom condo this past summer for five nights. I would say the best thing about this home is the views! There is a great view of Crested Butte Mtn from the main living area. Also, from the third floor bathroom window you can see Red Lady Mtn and Paradise Divide. The next best thing is the location. I prefer to stay in town because it is so authentic and historical. The house is within walking distance to shops and restaurants but away from the bustle of downtown. The house is also very close to bus stops so one can easily get to the base at the ski area. The house is very new, clean, relaxing and comfortable! I would also say that working with Kimberly was a highlight. She is very professional, delightful, and easy to work with. We will be renting this house when we return to Crested Butte!
Our family stayed at this property for 3 nights so that my husband could participate in the Wildflower Rush mountain bike race. We had a total of 6 people, which included my husband and I, our two boys, and my parents.
The townhome was even nicer than the picures we viewed online! Everything is the house is very new and in perfect condition. Two of the bedrooms are located on the first floor, and the third bedroom is on the third floor, which really provides some nice distance. It is located within walking distance of Crested Butte's adorable downtown area, but is also in a part of town that is out of the "hustle and bustle", if you could call anything in Crested Butte hustle or bustle. Our boys are 3 and 5, and we either walked or rode our bikes everywhere! Even my elderly parents (71 & 79) rented townie bikes and cruised around with us. There is a wonderful playground about 2 blocks from the house, which was a huge hit with my boys, as well as a small BMX course and paved bike/walking trail.
The town has tons of great restaurants and cute shops. Donitas is good for Mexican, McGills is a great breakfast location, and my husband and I love Ginger Cafe for a romantic/ethnic date night.
Cruisers and easy and inexpensive to rent during your stay, and are the perfect mode of transportation during the summer months in Crested Butte! We only used our car to go up to the mountain, because our kids are too little to bike all the way up the hill! Crested Butte ski resort has a huge covered tent with miniature golf underneath, a trampoline/bungie area, and rock climbing wall, which were also perfect for my boys. An all day pass was only $15 and the boys could do all of these activities as much as they wanted.
I've rented in Crested Butte on a few other occations, and have never been happier than I was with this property. I highly recommend this property for families or couples looking for a beautiful place to call home while visiting Crested Butte. Kimberly was very helpful and a pleasure to do business with - we will be back again for a longer stay!!
FYI the Town Clinic is the main location of medical services in the towns of Crested Butte or Mt. Crested Butte, however it is described as not like a typical 'urgent care' clinic. They do, however take daily appointments and accept walk-ins. Closest hospital is a 30 minute drive to Gunnison.
