This cozy home is located 25 minutes south of Chicago and is 1 mile from the expressway to the City. Great location for visiting family members. This property is within 20 minutes of White Sox - US Cellular Field, Bulls/Blackhawks - United Center, Casinos: Horseshoe, Ameristar & Majestic Star. Golf course within 3 miles. Conveniently located on main road and walking distance to Walgreens, fast food restaurants, family restaurants, convenience store. The Indiana Dunes beaches are a 30 minute drive away. Local Park offers playground equipment, picnic tables, a shelter, 3 sets of tennis courts, sand volleyball court and is only a 3 block walk away. The local library is 4 blocks away. There is a paved trail for walking, biking or skating within 6 blocks away. The Horse Stables are located approx. 1.5 miles away for Horseback riding.

Cute, clean little house

A friend and I stayed at the house for a week. The house was very well-cared for, furnishings were very comfortable (especially the big stuffed chairs in the front room - I have to find out where Cindy got them - great for TV watching!). Beds were comfy, sheets nice, bathroom and kitchen modern. The wireless internet access was a life-saver, too. Felt very safe. And there's a great front porch to kick back and watch the traffic go by. The first night there we watched the local kids baseball team roll by in their parents' cars, honking horns and holding out their newly won trophies - very nice small town in the middle of a big metropolis.

I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

Myself and 3 of my girlfriends stayed for one of their birthdays Aug 1-Aug 2. This home was immaculate. Everything was so clean. Clean lines in the decorating. Open and inviting. Lots of light from windows. Clean bath and linens. We were very happy with our stay. There was some miscommunication with the check-out time. The compromise was fair though. I would just advise to get any alternative arrangements in writing via email so that both parties are on the same page. We would stay again if in the area. We only drove into Chicago and it took about 30 minutes at most. But we were unfamiliar with the area so someone a little more in the know could probably get around quicker. There is a Walgreens, Burger King, and small grocery store right on the corner. You can see them from the house. There are lots of shops in walking distance, but those are the ones I remember. The highway is only a few lights down the street. I could really go on and on about this place but it's late and I'm sleepy. *smile*
