Great place to get away

We want to thank James for all he did during the process of us planning of
our family vacation a great experience. He was really informative to make
our time in Spicewood a very pleasant. The house was very clean and quite
comfortable. You felt like you could come in take your shoes off and read a
magazine. The neighborhood was so quite. You could sit out on the balcony at
night and here the deer walking around it was so quiet. We did see quite a
few deer that were so close you could almost touch them.
If you are not a lake swimmer the pool was very close to the house. We did
try and enjoy the lake but considering the drought this year it was hard to
get the true experience of how close the water is to the house. If the water
had been closer it looked to have been in a very nice well kept secluded
area away from all the busy boat traffic.
We loved the fact we could bring all our favorite foods and have great
family dinners around the huge dining table which accommodated all of us.
The kitchen was a dream to cook in while others played pool, cards or the
little ones watching Disney movies. You didn't feel like you were missing
out on all the action. You just felt like everyone was together and it was
perfect for family time.
Downstairs where the main bedrooms are is very nice. One full bath with
double sinks and a half bath made it very easy for everyone to get ready
without having to constantly wait to get in front of the mirror. The two
beds were really comfortable and fresh. One thing you must prepare for is to
bring the essential toiletries...paper and hand soap. It is fine as long as
you know this ahead of time. The master bedroom is a few stair steps up
from the main living room with a beautiful attached bath. The first bedroom
is to the right of the front door which has the twin trundle beds. You are
able to use one trundle so basically you have 3 twin beds in that room. I
cute little half bath right next to the bedroom. It is also very accessible
for everyone you only have a couple of steps down from the living room.
It is close to town to make it an enjoyable motorcycle ride. If you forgot
something from home it is not to bad of a drive to run to the store.
Our family of aunts, uncles, parents (grandparents), and the little one
truly enjoyed our weekend and we all are looking forward to renting this
house again next year. I sure hope this small novel will help to make your
stay as pleasant as ours.
