We love Oakland, we love our home and we are excited to share this lovely city with others!
Walking distance from many amenities, quiet, shady back yard, easy access to San Francisco and other Northern California attractions (wine country!)
We have stayed here twice while visiting our son, daughter-in-law and new baby boy who live in a small apartment four blocks from here. The space, privacy and complete (and well-functioning) equipment make this an ideal do-it-yourself bed and breakfast place. We appreciate the ease of making arrangements and the artwork too!
This is a cozy, well-located place to stay in Oakland! The bedroom is comfortable and the tiny kitchen has every convenience. We walked to Lake Merritt most mornings and ate at several nice restaurants nearby. This was our 2nd visit and we'll definitely stay here again!
Rooms were clean and comfortable for two. We ate out so used the rooms primarily for resting and sleeping. Hosts were helpful. Access to different areas was good, about 1 mile walk to Bart. Trader Joes and whole Foods are convenient as are several restaurants.
This rental was perfect for our needs!! We needed a short term furnished rental during an assignment in the Bay area. The hosts were very kind and accommodating, especially when we had to make changes to our reservation at the last minute. The place was clean and afforded us the privacy we needed. The close location to Lake Merritt allowed us to stroll around it in the afternoons after we got home from work. It was very convenient to walk to Whole Foods for groceries and there are a number of wonderful restaurants within walking distance. We would recommend this place to anyone who needs to stay in the Oakland/SF area!
We needed a place to stay for a quick night to watch the San Francisco Giants in the World Series. This place was perfect. We were at the ball park in about an hour from leaving the house thanks to Maya's tip to take the bus. It was less crowded than BART and we probably saved some time not having to walk about a mile to the station. I used to live near this area but the neighborhood has added many new restaurants and stores and the Lake is beautiful as always. The place is cozy and charming and a great value to be so close to everything. Parking was not a problem and you really don't need to use your car much as public transportation is convenient to all the sites.
This vacation rental was just perfect for what we needed! We spent a week in Oakland visiting our daughter. This wonderful little gem had everything we needed, plus much more, a scenic little garden area in the back and a wonderful little kitchen for coffee and such! We spent alot of time in SF and actually wish we could have spent a little more time at the rental. The owners are very nice, friendly and accomodating! I would recommend this property to anyone staying in the Oakland/SF area - very convenient to everything!
The unit is well maintained and spacious. The host is really great and willing to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We unfortunately had to change our plans because of our sick 2 year old, and the owner was super accommodating. The location is great. There are some good restaurants, a coffee place, a giant park, and the BART within walking distance. The ride to SF is only 15 minutes on the BART. We are really happy that we chose to stay here instead of a hotel. I would definitely stay here again and I have already recommended a friend to stay there.
