Lake Winnipesaukee is the 2nd largest lake in New England. The area around the lake is known as the Lakes Region. There are 3 boats that take visitors for outings on Lake Winnipesaukee, the Mount Washington being the largest and best known. A wide variety of restaurants are available. Many hiking and biking trails are close by. Good shopping in Tilton and North Conway outlets nearby plus there is no sales tax in NH! To the north you can visit Mount Washington or visit the Flumes, Storyland, Heritage, Santa's Village, Six Gun City, Polar Caves and many more attractions all within 1 hour of your stay. In Moultonborough there is the Loon Center and Castle in the Clouds. Nearby attractions include the Squam Lakes Science Center, Canterbury Shaker Village, etc. Go to Weirs Beach and walk on the boardwalk enjoying old fashion arcades, video games, miniature golf, cotton candy, fudge, slush and fried dough.. There is so much to do on and around Lake Winnipesuakee.
