We came up to enjoy a little family time with the new baby & the Irish Music Festival & Garlic Festival. The house was amazing-awesome to give everyone their own space & still let everyone enjoy each others company. Perfect distance from the festivals. We ran & biked every day. Great scenery, beautiful grounds-great for family photos. Everyone cannot wait to come up next year. Maybe the baby will even swim in the pond!
I recently stayed at the pleasant valley home with 2 other couples. The house is beautiful with views and scenery like no other. The access to the 30+ acres of hills and open land was great! Abundance of firewood was exactly what we needed on this cold weekend, and the fireplace kept the living room cozy and warm! Little town of bennington was great, especially if you enjoy the antique hunt. Grocery, restaurant, and shops 15 minute drive. Close to ny border and towns as well. Overall great experience and weekend!
We had such a wonderful time in Bennington over the holidays. The house was gorgeous, immaculate, and perfectly spacious for our group of 8. We loved the big open kitchen for cooking dinner together, and adored the beautiful fireplace in the evenings. Both the owner and property manager were friendly and responsive, and made for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I'll be recommending this home to friends, and would love to come back in the future for a longer stay!
Words can't describe how amazing this property is. We didn't want to leave. Would definitely stay here again. Quiet and secluded yet only a short drive into town. Perfect. We had planned on going out for a meal or two but couldn't drag ourselves away from the property! Was beautiful in the fall, would love to see it in the snow. Thank you Dianna and Rick for your warm hospitality. Rebecca and family.

Pleasant Valley was the perfect place for our multigeneration family gathering to celebrate a "big" birthday with our mom/grandmother/great-grandmother who lives in Bennington. The house had plenty of space and a great layout so everyone had privacy. The wide lawn, ponds, trails, and amazing view made it perfect for kids and adults to run and play or hike and explore. We were already quite familiar with the Bennington area, and this house is located a quick drive from everything we wanted to do. The house is well equipped, very "Vermont" with wide board trim and colors, but fully modern in amenities, finishes, and comfort. Everyone loved it!
Bennington is uniquely situated between Albany, NY, Williamstown, MA and resort areas of Vermont. Easy access to theater, music, fine dining and recreation.
