This farm is a successful sojourn in green living, sustainable architecture and learning to live in harmony with the surroundings. It is an artist-owned home, with an eye on the the area and an ear to the heartbeat of the land. The photo shown is of us in our driveway. The view is in the background.
The Owner purchased this farmhouse in 2001
Long summers and happy childhood memories of the area inspired the purchase of the farm.
Views, views, views. Sometimes, we just pinch ourselves because it is so beautiful here.
The perfect spot for a girls / mamas weekend away. The house is lovingly taken care of. Sitting by the wood stove, drinking wine with your friends, what a treat. We didn't want to leave.
This house is absolutely wonderful. It's is impeccably decorated, lovingly cared for and in a bucolic spot. Perfect for a weekend getaway. We've been twice and loved it each time. We'll return!
We were looking for a quiet weekend away from the city and this property delivered on every count. The pictures do not lie. While the property retains the rustic charm of a 18th century farmhouse and barn, it is complete with all amenities needed for a modern getaway, so you are in no way roughing it.
The host is one of the reasons to rent this property. She is very prompt , professional, fun to talk to and has maintained the property to a high standard. We had a minor problem during our stay, but she was very nice and accommodating with us.
We walked in to a clean and tastefully decorated home and were welcomed by streaming music through built in speakers. The kitchen was very well equipped to cook and feed our party of eight. The wrap around porch is perfect for early morning breakfasts and late afternoon coffees. Music, books, movies. Everything you need for a lazy weekend if you do not want to step outside. Which you really don't have to if you don't want to.
The views from this property are like a impressionist painting. You get gorgeous views of the lake and mountains from the front of the house and 3 of the 4 bedrooms. You can see cows grazing in the neighboring property from the back porch. We had toddlers in our party who were full of joy at being able to see farm animals from the house and when we went for a hike along the farmlands around the lake.
Nobody wanted to leave for the city, but ce'st la vie. Gotta get back to the grind. Will definitely look for a longer stay next time around.
We had a lovely time at Full Moon Farm. It was a great summer escape from the city. Nothing like getting back to nature with the serene view of the mountains & lake in the distance.
The owner was very communicative throughout making the booking process a breeze.
My friends and I had been discussing a ski weekend for some time; however, as it goes, no one wanted to organize the trip. Consequently, I raised my hand to plan our weekend getaway. I researched places near and far, emailing whichever places sounded ideal for my group of seven. Immediately after reaching out to Full Moon Farm, I received a response offering not solely a price and date, but complete transparency into the planning and staying process. It was wonderful! My friends and I quickly decided on FMF as it seemed to offer a beautiful and large home with tons of land in the country and only 30 minutes away from Windham Mountain. Furthermore, the owner was helpful, patient, and a complete delight! After arriving at the house, we knew that we had made the best decision possible - while the pictures depict the home accurately, they surely do not do it the true justice it deserves. It is gorgeous! In the words of House Hunters "Open Floor Plan!" And the view! Everything that we could have possibly needed and far more were in the house. Bright? YES! Awesome and inspiring artwork adorning the home? YES! Mason Jars? YES! Funny room with a bathtub and toilet? YES! Bread maker, Kitchen Aide, big fancy fridge? YES! Super amazing bathroom with heated floor and rain-falling shower head? DUH! Plus! PLUS! The owner made efforts beyond efforts to make sure that my friends and I were comfortable and had everything we needed.
While the skiing and snowboarding were awesome that Saturday, it was truly a pleasure knowing that where we were coming from was where we were going. I would most certainly visit this home again and again - summer, winter - whatever! Love!
From the start, the owner of this spectacular property was responsive, friendly and professional. We arranged the reservation in just a few emails. The contract was clear and the owners even sent us a helpful PDF before we arrived so we could research fun things to do before our holiday. When we arrived, we were blown away! The cottage is so enchanting. Bonus, it's 25 minutes to the slopes and half the price of a condo on the mountain, perfect if you want to get your ski on. The furnishings in the cottage tastefully mix old and new, and all the sparkly conveniences you could ask for are at your fingertips. There was even a helpful manual to help us navigate this fun, exciting area. So much great stuff to do. We loved our stay and we'll be back for sure. Can't wait to see this place in the summer.
