Very convenient and affordable in low season: With daily flights via Zagreb between London, Amsterdam, Dusseldorf and Split (Croatia Airlines) and several direct flights (Dusseldorf, Amsterdam) it is also very fast and convenient to get to the island of Hvar also outside the main season. Typically the flight from Amsterdam to Split takes a little bit more than 2 hours and with connecting ferries it takes additional 2 hours to get on the island. For this reason many people enjoy pre- (April, May) and post-season (September, October) which are generally not crowded with tourists and benefit fully from the unique mild Mediterranean climate.
