Perfect for songwriters and musicians, families on vacation, as well as business travelers. Located in a quiet neighborhood, this home is convenient to the airport, downtown and Music Row.
The kitchen is fully equipped and features a rolling island. The adjacent deck is comfortably furnished. Enjoy the sun-filled glassed in porch with a fountain just outside. The master suite has a king size bed, cable TV and a private bath with jacuzzi tub.
The piano and 2 'house' guitars are available for musicians. Our CD collection of original music includes local songwriters, many have stayed and played here.
The main level of the house is a typical 3 bedroom 2 bath mid-century ranch. It is 1400 square feet. There's a master bedroom with king size bed and an ensuite bath, a bedroom with a queen size bed and a bedroom with a twin daybed and twin trundle. We sleep up to six on the main level.
The lower level features a huge master suite with a wet bar/kitchenette, a fireplace and a media room with a 50' HDTV with a Roku streaming stick and a game table. There is also a daybed with a trundle in the media room that will sleep two people. The combined living area is 2800 square feet. The lower level sleeps four more for of total of ten.
The lower level is never rented separately from the main level, if you have rented the main level you will not be sharing the house with anyone else.
We chose this property for the quiet neighborhood and close proximity to the airport and downtown Nashville.
This home is great! It's cozy, quiet and very roomy. We loved how we were close to downtown. We saw the Country Music Hall of Fame, that was very cool. We did appreciate the kitchen and we loved the porch on the front of the house. I hope we come back!
Us kids loved the piano (even though it annoyed some people!!)
We had a group of runners stay in town for the half marathon. The home was very convenient to downtown (10 min). House had everything we needed! Would definitely stay here again! The owner was very committed to us having a great stay!
We stayed on the main level for 3 nights, and it worked very well for us. Terje was very friendly, and he even let us in a little bit early on the day we arrived. He told us that he lives across the street, and he made sure we knew we could contact him if we needed anything. He returned our deposit less than 2 weeks after we checked out.
We loved the spacious kitchen and dining area. We enjoyed preparing breakfast there, and we all fit around the table to eat.
We also loved the enclosed porch. We read and chatted and drank wine out there, and it was very relaxing. Terje even has books for you to borrow if you don't bring your own.
The kids spent time in the backyard. There is a very small stream that runs behind the house, and they enjoyed being near it.
The house was within 20 minutes of everything we wanted to do. We visited the Grand Ole Opry, the Country Music Hall of Fame, The Parthenon in Centennial Park, and the Ryman Auditorium. We ate at Monell's and The Pharmacy. We loved everything in Nashville except for the traffic!
The only negatives were the wasps on the porch and the deck, the squeaky floors, and the dogs next door. 3 of them were fenced in all the time, but they bark. The other was very mellow, but he startled us a little bit just by being in the driveway when we arrived in the dark.
We would stay in this house again if we return to Nashville!
This was the first time I have rented a house and it was amazing! It was so nice to be able to hang out as a family! The house was perfect size for all of us and very well stocked! Definitely recommend for a family get away!
We have 4 kids and 2 are seniors this year. Our oldest daughter picked Nashville for her senior trip. We looked at different properties in the area and after picking 6 locations and after the family looked at all 6 and we picked the musicians getaway. I'm so glad we stayed at this location. The hose was clean and very comfortable. We ended up booking the entire house and glad we did, so everyone had some elbow room. When we first arrived we were not able to get in, the mistake was mine. I'm glad that happened because the owner came right over. I have nothing but compliments on the owners. They are very nice, pleasant and very attentive to any issues that may come up. The only issue we had was a rivet on the shower door was broken. The door still worked, just needed to be careful when opening it. I called and told the owner and asked when he could come and fix it. I told him no hurry, since it didn't really affect the shower. Other than that it was great. The only thing I wish was different was the weather. Rained the whole time we were there, so we were not able to use the grill and sit on the deck and enjoy the quiet. We had a good time at the Grand Ole Opry and taking all the sites. The start of the men’s SEC conference tournament was starting and was downtown alive with all sorts of people. We got to meet and talk to Larry the cable guy. The biggest issue I have (not the owners fault) are the potholes in Nashville. I would recommend this property for anyone staying and if you have four or more kids I would recommend renting out the whole house. Looking forward to come back and stay at the same house.
Very nice home. Guitars and attention to detail were excellent. While a previous review mentioned barking dogs in a neighbors yard, we found them to really wimp out on their tough sounds once the snow came. We attempted to befriend dogs, but they wanted nothing to do with inclement weather. Maybe we will bring doggie treats next time. Excellent stay!
We stayed here for 7 nights. The home was great for our needs. Good water pressure in the showers. Washer and dryer was nice to have. Kitchen had everything we needed to make some meals. Directions to the house were perfect. TVs & WiFi worked well. Beds are not the best as I had a backache the first few mornings. . Not the cleanest place (too many dust bunnies) and the dogs next door barked too much at night. We did love the lock with the key code - much easier to deal with than keys.
