We arrived home from Arizona a couple of days ago and still wish we were back at Carol and Gil's house in Sedona. I was hesitating to write this review, because their house is the best kept secret of the city and we are not sure we want to let everyone else know about it! The house is an older adobe style, but completely renovated and beautifully decorated inside. It has class, style and comfort. A one story house with three bedrooms and lots of open space. The kitchen is modern and it's easy to prepare meals there. After lots of hiking, sigthseeing, shopping etc. we would look forward to coming back to the house and relax with a glass of wine in front of the big screen TV. The absolute best part of the house are the big windows that give an exceptionally demanding view of the mountains in the back of the neighborhood. In fact, even though the house is in the middle of a neighborhood, you wouldn't know it when you are inside the house or on the patio where you see these beautiful mountains. Our kids loved sitting outside in the morning with their breakfast and watching all the different kinds of birds flying from tree to tree. The location of the house is perfect, because you are in the middle of everything; red rocks, short drive to different hiking spots, close to shops, galleries and restaurants and easy day trips to Jerome, ruins and other sites. We loved the short hike to "Gil's Hill", also known as Sugarloaf Mountain. The view from there is spectacular and you can see the house from up there if you look closely, as well as the city of Sedona and lots of mountains all around! Let's not forget that Carol and Gil have thought of everything from extra towels to backpacks and coolers and the bagels, fruit and cream cheese when we arrived for next morning's breakfast! Also the strong and sturdy walking sticks that came in very handy during our West Fork hiking trip! We absolutely loved the house, loved our trip and loved Sedona. We will be back!! Thanks guys! :0)
