The Grand Canyon Cabin is a little hidden gem in Southern Utah. It is located in the Ranchos area of Kanab, just a couple of minutes to town. The log cabin is situated on 2 private acres amid the red rocks surrounded with breathtaking views. Enjoy the warmth and privacy of the cabin while you explore the wonders of Southern Utah.
The Grand Canyon Cabin is ideally located for visiting the national parks as day trips while returning to the comfort and quiet of the cabin. Spend the evening in town with dinner and a movie or hang out at the cabin, throw something on the grill and enjoy the amazing night sky.
Kanab is the gateway to the national parks. It's just 45 minutes to Zions National Park, 1 1/2 hrs to Bryce Canyon, 1 1/2 hrs to Grand Canyon North Rim, 1 hr to Lake Powell, 30 minutes to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes and 15 minutes to the Grand Staircase Escalante.
Recreational opportunities abound with hiking, ATV riding, horseback riding, golfing, boating, fishing and more.
The Grand Canyon Cabin is pet-friendly with a fenced portion of yard and an adjoining covered dog/cat run. It's only 15 minutes to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary which is home to about 2000 animals at any given time and whose guiding philosophy is: kindness to animals builds a better world for all of us.
Historic Kanab, nicknamed 'Little Hollywood' for all the western movies filmed here, still has the old west feel and friendliness. Kanab is home to the annual Western Legends Roundup each August. Come enjoy cowboy country.
Come enjoy the west... and stay a spell.
This one bedroom cabin is owned and managed by the same owners of Goldena's Cabin in Kanab. If a 2 bedroom cabin would suit your needs better, please see our Listing #407342.
Very private, peaceful, clean, and well equipped house in a lovely area of Kanab. Fenced backyard for our yellow lab, equipped with deck, picnic table, and grill was a nice bonus. Views front and back are superb. Gas fireplace was toasty on cold January mornings. Central to both Bryce Canyon and Zion which we visited during our 10-day stay, and found nice local Kanab trails, too. Appreciated the extras like spaghetti and jar of sauce, condiments, coffee, shampoo, laundry soap, and loads of 'tourist' info. Dru and Bob are easy to work with and very hospitable. Enjoyed every minute!
My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic 5 night stay at the cabin. We wanted a central location to visit Zion NP and Bryce Canyon, and this place was perfect! The cabin is really nicely furnished, clean, and stocked with a lot of essentials (coffee, condiments, cooking essentials, charcoal grill) Not to mention the bed was super comfy. You can tell that the owners put a lot of care into making it a cozy and comfortable stay. They have a lot of literature on local attractions too which was helpful. One night my husband and I accidentally locked ourselves out of the cabin at 10:30 at night while trying to view the stars oops...long story short a nearby neighbor let us use their phone to call Bob & Dru who were kind enough to come to our rescue with a spare key. I can't say enough good things about this place!
This beautiful little cabin was everything we'd hoped for and so much more! Great location, lovely grounds, amazing views, full amenities, charming decor, cleanliness... it has it all! We are picky travelers and this place checked all the boxes for us. Plus, the owner, Dru, is very kind, patient and helpful. We had to change our reservations several times but Dru never lost form - she remained most positive and friendly in all of our communications.
This place was one of the highlights of our 18-day road trip and definitely one of the nicest accommodations we've ever enjoyed, period. We'll be back! :)
I can only echo the previous reviews. This is a fantastic cabin in a perfect dessert location. The cabin is incredibly comfortable and stocked with everything you might need including local restaurant menus and books on the area. As noted, from Kanab it's an easy drive to Bryce, Zion and even the north face of the Grand Canyon. And there is lots to do in Kanab; it is the home of the Best Friends pet sanctuary and served as the venue for hundreds of Western films and TV shows (the Gunsmoke set is near town). The owners are extremely helpful, friendly and know the area well. Definitely an excellent experience.
This adorable, clean cabin is nestled in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood but you feel like you are miles away from everything. It is located perfectly for taking day trips to Zion, Bryce, Escalante, Lake Powel, Glen Canyon, and the north rim of the Grand Canyon. If you prefer to stay in town there are many local trails to hike, some challenging and some easy. You can even set out from the back door and walk the trails behind the house. The town itself is charming and continues to have the western flair for which it is known. Be sure to stop by the Visitor Center as they have a wealth of information and ideas for making your stay even more enjoyable. After those busy days it's great to relax and unwind in this comfortable cabin. We didn't take our pets but the entire yard is fenced and there is a large sized pen area in the shade if you do decide to take your pets along. The front porch gets a wonderful breeze and is a great place to watch the sunrise. The owners are very accommodating and make sure you have everything you need to make your stay even more enjoyable.
My husband and I just completed our stay at the Grand Canyon Cabin in Kanab (pronounced kuh-NAB), Utah. What a wonderful place! The setting cannot be beat--just outside of Kanab, in a quiet neighborhood set right up against the buttes. Inside, the cabin decor is cozy and western, and there are great desert views from each of the many windows. Although the cabin is described as having one bedroom, it sort of has two; they are not separated by doors or floor-to-ceiling walls, but the room that sleeps two people and the cozy nook that sleeps one are visually separate, allowing for a measure of privacy. We loved our cabin home during our stay and highly recommend it with these tips: if you're coming in fall or winter, it will be cold, so pack your robe and slippers in order to be comfortable; also, before you stock up on food for your stay, check out the supplies in the kitchen, including the refrigerator, to see what's already there--the owners and previous guests have provided a number of staples and other items that you won't need to buy; finally, there are many canyons and trails to explore in southern Utah, and if you plan to visit any of the national parks, the trails at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, or even just the back yard of the Grand Canyon Cabin, you will want good hiking shoes and a walking stick.
