DOWNTOWN'S DELUXE (AMHERST / ST-CATHERINE)

My husband, my neice, and I along with our two children under two stayed in this beautiful condo. The moment we arrived, the owner Richard was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. We got a tour of the condo and given informations about the area and the happenings around downtown Montreal.
This property, has everything you need. It is very clean, spacious and in a very good location and reasonable priced. Would definitely come back to this condo. Thank you Richard!

My husband and two boys just returned from a long weekend in Montreal at the Amherst condo. The place was very nice, very clean, very well equipped and a great hotel alternative. The owner provided everything you might need from a good hair dryer, local maps and guidebooks, tea, spices, laundry detergent, shampoo, body wash, and ample linens. The location is great: walking distance to Old Montreal, the Montreal Science Centre, an IGA for food, a SAQ for wine, and many, many interesting restaurants. We dined right around the corner at O'Thym which was so good we all wanted to go back the following night. Wonderful local dishes and BYOB. We also ate at Pho21 right across the street which was very good, but seemed to do more of a take out business than eat in. Richard was very helpful with carrying the bags, giving recommendations and showing us the parking (which is around the block). The area is (as one review put it) a bit "spicy" as it is in the Gay Village and there are some strip clubs (both male and female) along Saint Catherine street. But I never felt unsafe and I appreciated the "local" feel rather than the generic hotel atmosphere. The condo was quiet (other than some modest morning dish noise from the restaurant downstairs) and very nicely decorated and cleaned. We would definitely stay there again on our next trip to Montreal.

My friends and I stayed at this condo at the end of February 2013 for 4 nights and thought it was great! Clean, very nicely furnished, sleeping 4 comfortably in the 2 bedrooms, and there is a couch for more people to sleep. It is close by to a metro (5 minute walk) and grocery store (2 minute walk). The shuttle bus from the airport stops by the metro station and runs often (every 10-20 minutes). The condo is a few metro stops away from the main shopping area of St. Catherine's. The owner was helpful and accomodating, and responds to emails very quickly. There is only one bathroom but the shower and tub are in a seperate room so one person can use the sink while another is showering. All dishes and cookware are included, plenty of towels and a washer and dryer were also a nice touch. There is also an espresso machine and coffee/tea provided, and there is a breakfast place right next door. Overall we had an excellent time and would definitely stay here again!
