Nice house with a few kinks

My family stayed in this house last summer. It was easy to book, and the owners were pleasant and responsive. The house itself is nice inside with wood floors and high ceilings. Lots of great bathrooms as well. It is a new construction house on a block with older homes, so it stands out. The bird sanctuary is at the end of the block (across the street), and it's a short drive to Cape May Pointe. It is also on the route of the town's horse carriages, so you can see the horses and buggies go by on their way to work (my kids loved this). It has very a nice porch space as well.
If you stay here, be prepared to drive to the beach. It is not really within walking distance. We had lots of quarters and fed the meters at the beach, which was fine. With kids, though, there was a lot of sand in the car by the end of the trip (but what would a beach trip with kids be without residual sand in the car??).
I am giving this property 4 stars instead of 5 because of some flaws. I would rate it 3-1/2 stars (high average) if I could... Here are the problems we encountered:
1. There were ants in the kitchen. Lots and lots of ants. The home appeared clean, but apparently the tenants and cleaning staff did not clean the cabinets well, and the piles of crumbs attracted ants to the extent that any open food put in a cabinet would be immediately covered. We spent a bit of money on ant traps, but those take several days to work. This was a bummer. We stored all of our food in the fridge. We told the owners, who did not offer to reimburse us for our expense.
2. The coffee pot was broken. This is a near disaster when you have young kids and need to WAKE UP early!
3. Possibly the worst thing is that the neighbor of this house rides a motorcycle which is parked just outside the bedroom windows. The owner of this motorcycle apparently has to get to work early, because every morning at 5am on-the-dot, he would REV the engine VERY LOUDLY, waking us AND our kids. Yes, at 5 am. On vacation. This is not ideal, to put it kindly...
4. Some of the furniture is flimsy, which is fine unless you have little kids who might lean on something and make it topple over.
All of these things are fixable, though. Hopefully the owner will read this review, get an exterminator, replace the coffee pot, tighten the furniture screws, and talk to the neighbor so that you can enjoy the benefits of staying in this otherwise lovely house.

Owner's Response: i do appreciate the honesty and candor of this renter. however just to address these issues, to ensure future renters that these minor adjustments were already made. 1.this new house never had renters or ant problems prior too 3 months ago when unfortanetly people leave open food which attracts all types of insects.an exterminator rectified this in one afternoon. so it didn't have to do with the cleaning but the renters.2 the coffee pot was broken by renters once again, but another easy fix the same day once notified! the neighbor was addressed. and you don't want to go in town to the beaches but to 3 others where you don't pay a dime. thnx mark
