Photos and Description of the Flagstaff vacation cabin rental Log Home, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6-8)

The 'log home' is located in Parks AZ and is at an elevation of 7200 feet which puts it in the forests of northern AZ. It is a real log home made out of Douglas Fir so there is wood inside and out. It is 7 miles north off of I-40 and the last 3 miles is on a gravel road. There are a variety of animals and birds and I frequently see Elk, Deer and Antelope either alone or in herds.The lot is tree covered with huge pine trees and in the back is a breath taking view of Mt. Humphreys where the Snowbowl is located. Also a short walk up the hill in the back gives you a view of the Grand Canyon. It is on 2.5 acres and is backed my national forest so you only have 3 neighbors visible in front of you and they are second homes as well and they are rarely there. It is extremely quiet and rural but the house has all the modern conveniences so it is extremely comfortable. No cell service so you can be truly secluded. If you do need to answer your cell forward it to the house phone.

The Arizona Snow Bowl for skiing and winter enjoyment is an hour away. Sedona is an hour away. The Grand Canyon is 1.5 hours away. Jerome a wonderful art community is 1.5 hours away. There is great local fishing in the lakes around Flagstaff. Breathtaking views and all kinds of trails for hiking, trail riding and ATV's.

  • Each bedroom has down comforters on each bed and each has its own faux electric heater that looks like a miniature fireplace, very cool looking! The master has a balcony overlooking the property and the forest and includes its own television with DVD, all channels are available from DIRECT TV so you can get the best of both worlds. Stainless steel appliances in the kitchen with pine cabinets and under the counter lighting.

Notes: I could check some of the other options but it can be, romantic and family oriented. Large deck with abundant seating for dining and relaxing with hammock. The jacuzzi is only a few years old, sunken in the deck and is a top of the line Artesian Spa and can seat 8, it is fabulous and is not budget jacuzzi! It has lighting and separate pumps for each of the five main seats so each person can control their experience. You can enjoy it with the lights on or dark and look up at the unobstructed sky with a view of night sky only this rural setting and this altitude can provide. No wonder one of the most famous observatories where they discovered Pluto is located in Flagstaff on 'Mars Hill.' Outdoor fenced pet run with doggie door for access from the cabin. Hike behind cabin with view of the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Wildlife viewing (the outdoor type (--: Elk, Deer, Antelope, Unique colorful Birds, Entertaining Squirrels and more. Great place for hiking or bringing you ATV

It is furnished to the hilt and features flat panel TV screens, comfy leather furniture and an open great room. The master is on the second floor with the loft. The other bedrooms are downstairs with the laundry room. There are two king beds, a queen bed and a sleeper sofa with a queen bed in it. There is plenty of closet space. There are full baths both upstairs and downstairs. There are stainless steel appliances in the full kitchen. On the deck there is a built in sunken jacuzzi that can fit 9 people. There is a huge barbeque that runs off the house propane so you will never run out of propane. The deck is over-sized so there is room for full dining and a hammock. Two large heaters are available on the deck and there are speakers for music with a CD player and tuner inside. The house has a large automatic generator that can run everything if there is power outage. The generator runs on propane and it comes on automatically you just wait about 40 seconds.

The lot is huge and I have had 30+ foot motor homes parked back there. It can handle just about any size vehicle with room to turn around. The studio next door is a professional recording facility and can be booked or if you are just curious I can show you around. We live just 40 minutes away in Flagstaff so if there is any problems we can assist you quickly.
