The closest beach is the famous Myrtos (approx. 5 km), one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece.
Surrounding Agia Efimia(5 km) there are numerous picturesque flint coves with crystal clear water, ideal for snorkelling.
In the village square (5 min. walk) you will find a typical greek tavern with good Kefalonian food, a little café with delicious traditional sweets and a mini market.
Further shopping facilities (super market and bakery) are in approx. 2 km.
In Agia Efimia (5 km) you will find a lot of cafés, taverns, shopping facilities, car-, motorbike- or motorboat rental, a professional diving school, a pharmacy and a cash station.
Distances, Sightseeing and Activities nearby:
10 km drive to the underground Melissani Lake and to the dreamy Lake Karavomilos. 15 km drive to the port of Sami or the traditional village Assos. 18 km drive to the Drogaratti Cave, to the Bavarian Horse Riding Stables close to Sami or to the beautiful Antisamos beach.

Travelling:
The simplest way to visit Kefalonia is to take a direct flight to the international airport of Argostoli/Kefalonia. If such a flight is not provided from your country, you can consider the following possibilities:
* Travel by direct flight to the island of Zakynthos or to the airport of Araxos (close to Patras) and then a Greek ferry to Kefalonia.
* Or travel by flight to Athens and connecting flight (daily with Olympic Airways, Aegean Airlines or Athens Airways) to Kefalonia. Depending on the flight schedule an overnight stay in Athens may be necessary.
Alternatively you can take a car rental in the airport of Athens and travel to Patras or to Kyllini. From those ports there are daily ferries going to Kefalonia.
* Alternatively you can take an international ferry from Italy to Patras and then a Greek ferry to Kefalonia.
