Amazing, magical, very private. Located on 43 acres in Pendleton County, WV (2.5 hrs from DC) on the very top of South Fork Mountain at about 3,100 feet of elevation. This is an intimate mountain top getaway with amazing views and amenities. The house is an awesome log cabin, with huge windows overlooking the Shenandoah Mountains. It includes an indoor 40' lap pool, 8' by 8' Jacuzzi, 20' by 25' great room, leading to an extensive deck with incredible views of tthe mountains, a tower, and a zip wire! Enjoy hiking or biking, watch the sun. The house sleeps 18 people in beds, has a large great room ideal for group activities and meetings. The following is the breakdown of bedding arrangements: Upstairs bedroom #1: queen bed and futon, #2: king size bed, downstairs bedroom #1 4: single bunk beds, #2: 4 single bunk beds, downstairs living area 2 futons, plenty floor space throughout the house. A full kitchen is provided. Hiking and mtn. biking trails out the door, excelent road biking.

The property has hiking and mountain biking trails, easy access to road biking, rock climbing, caving, fishing, hunting, and borders a beautiful new golf course. The facility is located 2.5 hours from Washington, DC in Deer Run (in Pendelton County), West Virginia, 45 minutes west of Harrisonburg, VA. Access is not an issue during spring, summer and fall; a four wheel drive is necessary to access the facility during the winter.

Unforgettable Weekend Getaway

This was my second weekend at Kent and Paula's beautiful cabin, and I'm already looking forward to another visit. The cabin sits atop a secluded hill with panoramic views of the surrounding mountain landscape. We took full advantage of the open knoll, hiking trails, pool and Jacuzzi, zip line, and huge deck and stayed put the whole weekend. A few things to note: 1) There is no cell service, but there is a land line phone. 2) You must bring your own drinking water. 3) At the end of your stay, you have to carry out any trash or recycling. 4) Finally, for us, the drive from DC took about 3.5 hours (rather than 2.5), but it's well worth it!

Great retreat space!

This incredible mountain home is a great get-away from busy urban life. Our non-profit organization has been using this home as a retreat space for four years, and we can't get enough. There is plenty of space for our entire staff (15 total people) to sleep comfortably, and it is perfectly located for a true retreat where we can relax and get our work done. There are many hiking trails as well as the fun amenities onsite like the zipline, hot tub and pool. I would recommend this space for any large family reunion or small company/business retreat any day. We are using the space in June this year again, and can't wait to relax and breath the fresh mountain air! Enjoy!

Just wanted to let you know we had a wonderful time. It was so nice to get away and relax. And what a beautiful place to do it. One morning, I woke up, looked out the door and it looked like we were sleeping on clouds there was so much fog. Our boys really enjoyed the pool, the zip line and hiking in the area and going to caverns.
