You have found the place for that great quite getaway. Sit on the front porch and watch the cows cross the mountain. See the horseback riders come by. You can sit on the deck out back and listen to the waterfall while enjoying the hot tub. The backyard is a great place for reading, cooking out on the grill, viewing the wildlife and just relaxing. You have all the solitude of being away, but, are conveniently located to town.
This is where you will unwind, enjoy, and not want to go home. You will not find another home that has this much peace and tranquility.
This has been such a fun retirement project for my husband. This is a 1938 farm house that he has totally renovated. The home has a great history. He has gone in and remodeled and/or restored everything. All furnishings/appliances/fixtures are new. We love the Maggie Valley/Waynesville area where we have two larger homes that we built for our children and our 4 grandchildren to enjoy. We have made many great memories and hope to make many more. My grandparents always brought me here when I was a child and I want to have those same memories for my grandchildren. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 2006
We could have not asked for a more suitable place for a getaway. It has everything my husband and I wanted. You are 20 minutes from Maggie Valley and Waynesville. 35 minutes from Asheville and 45 minutes from Gatlinburg. We are located where you can get to anywhere you need, but, also can enjoy the peace and tranquility of country living.
Our home is pet friendly, extremely motorcycle friendly, we both ride, and most importantly grandchildren friendly. Great area to hike and enjoy the scenery.
This was a wonderful, relaxing experience in this cabin. It was like new, very clean and cozy. The porches were a treat to sit and visit and watch the fireflies in the evenings and the hot tub was a blessing after 250 and 300 miles motorcycle rides in this most beautiful area. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The business side was very professionally conducted, yet very personal and I will look forward to visiting their cabin again. The waterfall in the backyard and the views were wonderful. There was everything we could have wanted or needed supplied in the cabin and all like new. The cabin's decor was so cute and it was obvious that a lot of thought, time and expense has gone into making this little cabin a relaxing retreat. Thanks so much for letting us visit your cozycreekcabin.
I have never been in a rental home that is so well equipped with anything and everything you can need! The house was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The hot tub on the back deck was perfectly set so you can hear the waterfall that is behind the home. You can control the temperature very easily and that's awesome when it's 7 degrees outside! The rooms are a good size and we were never cramped. (Group of five people went.) I would 100% recommend it. The only complaint I have is that it's close to a semi busy road, BUT that was also a plus when it snowed because we were able to get out of the driveway easily.
The owners were wonderful!! Anytime I had a question, it was answered quickly. Got the deposit back in a very timely manner.
Again, wonderful cabin! Thanks for everything!!
My wife and I loved staying in Cozy Cabin up in the mountains. We were close to Lake Junaluska for jogging and walking and to Waynesville for shopping and eating. Blue Rooster Southern Grill was our favorite. We traveled to Asheville for the antique malls and up Max Patch Road to wilderness. We traveled on the Blue Ridge Parkway and our favorite road was the precarious Route 215. When our grandchildren came to visit we had both incredible pictures of the Milky Way at the top of Max Patch, 8 miles from the cabin in the wilderness and also of a beautiful ice on the trees one morning. We enjoyed a family campfire in the backyard and hiking up the farmer’s old roads. Haywood County has the highest mean elevation of any county east of the Mississippi! 8” of snow on November 1st was a treat since we are from snow country. Seeing elk up close at Cataloochee Ranger Station was a thrill - surrounded by 6000’ peaks – was only 11 miles away. The hottub was very relaxing both in sunny weather and in the snow. The cabin was cozy and had all the utensils that we needed for a month.
Our Family stayed for a month to escape the South Florida summer heat and we enjoyed every second of it. Having rented a few times in the Carolina mountains, I can say that this cabin is an excellent value and you will not be disappointed. Kathy was great to deal with and very quick to answer any questions or concerns. Great front yard our small children played for hours every day and caught fireflys before bedtime. Well appointed cabin with everything you need, the lot with the creek running through and waterfall in the back is special. Once the trees grow a little more on the perimeter landscaping the entire lot will be completely private from the road and an already great place will go up another notch. We had a great time, thanks Kathy and Stan
Hard to describe how much my wife and I enjoyed our 2 week stay. This place had everything we were looking for as we took a break from a long MI winter. Relaxed at night to the sound of the waterfalls, it was close enough to family, restaurants, sightseeing. I was even able to work a little with an excellent internet connection. We have traveled all 48 lower states, this might be our favorite spot of all, hoping to come back next year for a longer stay. Thanks to the owners for their thoughtfulness and those tickets to Biltmore!
There were four of us for this week of relaxing and enjoying the scenery. The home was a great value for the money. We took time driving around the wonderful area and seeing some sights, but really liked lazing around the house and taking it easy. Maggie Valley was close enough to zip to for shopping and finding a good resturant. I have recomended this place to my other familly members. Thank you for sharing it with us.
We just returned from a very relaxing vacation. The cabin was everything expected and more. Thank you Stan and Kathy for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. We will defiantly be back next year. The views were amazing and sitting by the creek was a dream come true.

We are located at the intersection of Fines Creek Road and Max Patch Road. Only 7 miles to the top of the Appalachian Trail (Max Patch Road) for the best hiking around. Very close to Cataloochee to visit the Elks too. Only 35 minutes to Asheville, 20 minutes to Maggie Valley and Waynesville and 45 minutes to Gatlinburg, TN.
