This has been such a fun retirement project for my husband. This is a 1938 farm house that he has totally renovated. The home has a great history. He has gone in and remodeled and/or restored everything. All furnishings/appliances/fixtures are new. We love the Maggie Valley/Waynesville area where we have two larger homes that we built for our children and our 4 grandchildren to enjoy. We have made many great memories and hope to make many more. My grandparents always brought me here when I was a child and I want to have those same memories for my grandchildren. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2006

We could have not asked for a more suitable place for a getaway. It has everything my husband and I wanted. You are 20 minutes from Maggie Valley and Waynesville. 35 minutes from Asheville and 45 minutes from Gatlinburg. We are located where you can get to anywhere you need, but, also can enjoy the peace and tranquility of country living.

Our home is pet friendly, extremely motorcycle friendly, we both ride, and most importantly grandchildren friendly. Great area to hike and enjoy the scenery.

I have never been in a rental home that is so well equipped with anything and everything you can need! The house was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The hot tub on the back deck was perfectly set so you can hear the waterfall that is behind the home. You can control the temperature very easily and that's awesome when it's 7 degrees outside! The rooms are a good size and we were never cramped. (Group of five people went.) I would 100% recommend it. The only complaint I have is that it's close to a semi busy road, BUT that was also a plus when it snowed because we were able to get out of the driveway easily.
The owners were wonderful!! Anytime I had a question, it was answered quickly. Got the deposit back in a very timely manner.
Again, wonderful cabin! Thanks for everything!!

Owner's Response: Thank you for all the nice comments. We do hope that you visit again. Also, hopefully, the road will not be that busy, as it is just a country road. But, with I-40 closed due to a rockslide they have detoured some by the home. This should be completed in a month.

Thanks again - Kathy & Stan

A Slice of Heaven

Hard to describe how much my wife and I enjoyed our 2 week stay. This place had everything we were looking for as we took a break from a long MI winter. Relaxed at night to the sound of the waterfalls, it was close enough to family, restaurants, sightseeing. I was even able to work a little with an excellent internet connection. We have traveled all 48 lower states, this might be our favorite spot of all, hoping to come back next year for a longer stay. Thanks to the owners for their thoughtfulness and those tickets to Biltmore!

Motorcycle Trip

This was a wonderful, relaxing experience in this cabin. It was like new, very clean and cozy. The porches were a treat to sit and visit and watch the fireflies in the evenings and the hot tub was a blessing after 250 and 300 miles motorcycle rides in this most beautiful area. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The business side was very professionally conducted, yet very personal and I will look forward to visiting their cabin again. The waterfall in the backyard and the views were wonderful. There was everything we could have wanted or needed supplied in the cabin and all like new. The cabin's decor was so cute and it was obvious that a lot of thought, time and expense has gone into making this little cabin a relaxing retreat. Thanks so much for letting us visit your cozycreekcabin.

Weekend getaway

The cabin was so beautiful. We took our 9 month old son, and it was a great place for him to crawl and explore safely. The views from the cabin were amazing, and the creek sounds kept us sleeping like babies! We were able to visit many places and loved all the scenic drives up and down the mountains.

Thanks so much for letting us stay at your cozy cabin. You were so easy to work with and we look forward to staying there again sometime!

Biltmore Trip

  • Submitted: Jan 26, 2014

Our stay was only 3 nights. We wanted to have ready access to the Biltmore Estates and Smoky Mtn Nat. Park. This location had that. The cabin in charming and all the little touches were noticed. Made a very "homey" feeling. The temperatures for N and S Carolinas were at the 90 degree level when we were there....but the evening quickly cooled down and we were comfortable with the windows open to create a cross-breeze. The ceiling fans in each room kept the need for running the central air minimal. (But nice to have when first returning each day to a closed up cabin.) We used the hot tub each evening; I believe I remember someone writing about the close location to the highway being a distraction. We found there was so little travel along that road that it was a non-issue for us. Sitting and watching the fireflies and listening to the creek was very relaxing. We did little eating at the cabin, but everything you could possible want was there. I kidded my wife about having to learn to bake will all the baking pans there. We have only one negative: that was we did not like the water. For other "City-slickers" such as us, I would recommend bring some bottled water for drinking. One last thing. The location and access to the East/West highway was great. We would highly recommend the cabin as a good get-away location, not deep in the woods, but a nice quiet property priced properly.
