Serenity and unmatched beauty

My family and I had the good fortune of spending our final week of summer vacation on the island of Coronado. While we were due to stay at the Del, we decided to rent instead. This property resonated with us on this site. But seeing is truly believing. Rico and Corinne have brought Asian beauty to this island, creating a meditative and awe inspiring homage to Balinese and Thai beauty. The balconies outside each bedroom provide a peaceful space, while the home itself opens out, with floor to ceiling large French style doors which are largely left open without screens. Except when it rains, no mosquitoes were ever seen while we let the breeze in day,or night. There is a canopied bed outside, flanked by a relief of a beautiful Buddha fountain. Our first moments lying there brought a hummingbird to our already gorgeous landscape. Other reliefs adorn two more walls within a beautifully gardened backyard. We enjoyed freshly squeezed lemon juice from the many lemons growing on the trees.
The kitchen is as beautiful as the pictures reveal. There is a pantry space off the kitchen where we could store food items.
We entertained friends during our stay, enjoying the ten person seating offered at the gorgeous wooden Thai table. With centrally controlled music and myriad stations available, one can create an atmospheric evening for all to enjoy.
I can't say enough about this home. We were fortunate to have met Ric and Corinne before leaving - so kind and generous, eager to share their home with us. We will definitely visit back here some day, and encourage anyone smitten by the photos to do the same.
