Our location allows for quick access to the Mount Hood National Forest and recreation areas. Our property backs up to several thousand acres of pristine forest preserve. 15 mintues and you are ready to grab a chair lift and ski/board the mountain. Nordic parks are abundant for the xCounty skier.. Summer: Like to hike??? There are many a marked trail and unmarked ones that you may find in when you embark on your own outdoor adventure to the area. Mountain bike your heart out or Hike the waterfalls, tour the wineries, check out the local orchards for fresh fruit in season. More adventure? Try a little wind surfing or kite boarding in Hood River which is famous for it on the beautiful Columbia River. Try your hand at fishing the local waters or simply take in a great dining experience in the the village of Hood River.

Our Christmas Holiday was simply fantastic at DaMountain Retreat. Our celebration of friends and family was enjoyed by all. Great house and property that was exactly as advertised. _________________WE LOVE DAMOUNTAIN RETREAT!! Access to skiing was fantastic. Our ski trip included many trips to both Mount Hood Meadows and Timberline Lodge. Both resorts offered great runs and we ended up in Hood River for appetizers and a little apres-ski. We loved the bungalow apartment for our parents use! See you next year on DaMountain. Excellent place to stay ;great place to use as BASE CAMP! We skied and the kids snowboarded only 15 mintues away. Loved the Hood River area and also had time to check out Government Camp near TImberline resort. Only here 10 days and can't wait to make our return visit. The drive along the Gorge is wonderful.
