2 Story House Over Garage, 5 Bedrooms + Loft, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 12)

This newly redecorated beachfront home directly overlooks Lake Erie with a private, sandy beach and volleyball court next door. There is usually a lake breeze, and spray from the lake often reaches the fifty-foot deck upstairs. The sound of gentle waves relaxes sunbathers on the Adirondack chairs located just outside of the sliding glass doors of the master suite. This is a beautiful, comfortable home decorated in summertime colors in a fun, carefree beach motif. Accommodations include five separate bedrooms, a great room with vaulted ceiling and a fireplace, a formal dining room, a large modern kitchen with spacious counters, table & chairs and a breakfast bar, ceiling fans, a master suite with double vanity and a jacuzzi, and outside patio furniture with extra deck chairs.

Other Activities: This beach house is located about 35 minutes from Toledo which boasts a museum and a zoo. It is located about 40 minutes from the Cedar Point Amusement Park and Kalahari Indoor Water Park in Sandusky. It is Close to Oak Harbor, Port Clinton and Marblehead which offer shopping, restaurants, and ferries to the islands. Crane Creek and Magee Marsh are 10 or 15 minutes to the west.

The attraction of this beach house is its proximity to the water; to be any closer, you'd be in the lake. There is rip-rap between the property and the lake, and concrete steps lead to the water. There is a view of water from every window: the view to the north is Lake Erie including six islands and Perry's Monument. East and west feature stunning sunrises, sunsets and absolutely breathtaking views of the silvery moon across the water. Southern views include the Harris Nature Preserve with blue herons, white egrets, Canada geese and ducks that are native to the area. This beach house is located between the lake and the nature preserve.

The house is about one mile from Wild Wings Marina, Restaurant and convenience store with gas. Many private charter fisherman operate out of this location, and there is a boat launch.

AWESOME!!!

This was our second visit to this magnificent vacation rental and we all concluded that THIS stay was even better than the first...and the first visit was FANTASTIC! This time around, we were more familiar with nearby activities, attractions, and restaurants but when you rent a house that has it ALL - why leave it??? This "home" literally has all you need from top to bottom for a most comfortable and memorable vacation. We enjoyed nightly campfires on the beach (with marshmallows, of course!), bicycle rides, kayaking, fun and sun on our own private beach, grilling out, lounging and relaxing on the huge deck overlooking Lake Erie while soaking in its gorgeous views and sunsets - who could ask for anything more? This home is immaculate inside and out and so beautifully decorated that you don't ever want to leave. In fact, we have just arrived back home and are already counting the days until our next visit to the "Lake House". The owners, Carol and Larry, are super people and we are very fortunate to have met them and found their vacation house to rent - one that is a simply perfect get-away for everyone and anyone. Our three sons and their families look forward to making even more great family memories together while sharing our "Lake House Family Tradition" with us in a fabulous and unforgettable setting. We have been doing family vacations for 9 years and we found this to be the best one we have stayed at. Larry and Carol, the owners, were very helpful and the home was exactly like the web page. Larry was able to get us a dock at the nearby marina and there was much to do within easy driving distance - Put-n-Bay, Cedar Point, Cleveland for a baseball game. We look forward to coming back.

Truly a place to share great memories.Clean and a great place to call home away from home after a busy day on the Island or a long day fishing on the lake . We as a family loved it here and actually hated to leave and wished that we had planned a longer vacation. Thank you ,Carol and Larry for having such a lovely home to share with us and giving us a an opportunity to be together as a family .We had a blast and the weather was great and the views were fabulous.
