Our newly renovated and well-equipped cabin sits at the end of a dead-end road on three secluded acres including rolling lawn, woodlands, and a pretty pond. You probably won't hear another car all weekend. Yet we are less than five miles from Woodstock, the cultural center of the Catskills, with its galleries, theaters, festivals, restaurants, concerts, and boutiques. Maybe you won't get back in your car for your entire stay - you can sit on one of our large decks, or screened-in porch, or soak in the hot tub, and watch deer, wild turkey, (and maybe even a bear) stroll by. Or walk across the road for a hike on hundreds of acres of public land. In the winter, build a fire in the wood stove, or go sledding down our own hill. Or you might use our home as a comfortable base for all the cultural and recreational activities available in the area - hiking, rafting, skiing, swimming holes, are all nearby. Lovingly renovated by an artist, and filled with art, the house features new bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen, and tons of outdoor deck space. We're less than two hours from the George Washington Bridge - and there's even a Trailways bus stop about two miles from the house. Great Cabin

Just came back from a girl's weekend at the cabin. We were planning to use the cabin as home base for exploring the area but since it poured most of the weekend, we ended up staying in. It was a great place to hang out! There were 8 of us and the house was clean and comfortable, and well appointed. The pictures depict the property accurately. We loved the wood burning stove and hung out on the back screened in porch listening to the rain for hours. The sound system was great. The location was ideal as well, secluded but close to town. Ate at Gypsy Wolf, casual but delicious mexican and hiked the Mountain Overlook trail just out of town. Would recommend both.

Woodstock vacation cabin

This is a wonderful holiday cabin set in beautiful secluded surroundings. The cabin is spacious and comfortable and has splendid views out over the garden, the pond and the woods beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the cabin, the walks in the surrounding woods and further afield to see some of the Catskill fire towers. We enjoyed visiting Woodstock and Bearsville. The cabin and its amenities are well described in the listing. The owners are helpful and friendly and provide good directions to the cabin; clear and comprehensive instructions about how things work; and a guide to local amenities. We would unreservedly recommend the cabin to anyone who wants a hassle-free, peaceful and relaxing time in the Catskills. We will go again ourselves.

We had a wonderful family vacation here with kids, grandkids, and blessedly no TV. Our 4 1/2 year old grandson made the definitive evaluation: "this is a very calm place - not like Chicago."

Beautiful, peaceful house

A wonderful spot. We found it very easily and spent a very relaxing weekend there over the winter. The house is conveniently located, but feels extremely secluded and peaceful. There is no noise from the road and very little sign that there are neighbours or even other houses in the immediate area. An ideal launching spot for hiking, biking or skiing in the winter.

The owners are friendly and accommodating - I am already planning a return trip!

Wonderful Christmas 2008

Our extended family of 10 (6 adults, 4 kids) spent a wonderful Christmas there last year. Enough room for all of us, a kitchen we could cook in, a hot tub we could use and a beautiful starry sky for our evening strolls! Would highly recommend this property.
