September special: $700 per week, 1-5 people:
We stayed here for a weekend getaway and the place was very nice! They provided us with everything we needed including kitchen supplies, bedding, and bath unlike other places I found that don't. The owner Liz was so sweet and very easy to communicate with. She was very prompt with her responses and even checked in via test during our staff to ask if we needed anything. The place was very clean and just what we needed. The location was perfect and within walking distance of Washington Square shops. The price was very reasonable and I would definitely choose to stay there again.
The minute I walked into the apartment I decided I wanted to make this a yearly (bi-yearly) destination. The weekend was just as I had anticipated. Knowing that we were facing almost sub-0 temperatures with wind-chill, I didn't think we would be taking grand walking tours. Staying at home in front of the fireplace was a dream, and I couldn't imagine it any other way. I could have stayed in the charming Victorian bedroom in the attic forever.
Our host Liz was a gem. She happily met us at our late arrival, and saw us at our departure. We chatted away as my husband quickly went to the ATM because we--quite embarrassed-- forgot about the remaining balance.
The house had old-world charm, yet was modern and super-clean. We found ourselves right at home almost immediately.
I look forward to staying again...
Thank you Liz!
Awesome condo apt, short walk to beach, supermarket, Washington St. Mall and other town highlights. Outdoor deck/grill, indoor fireplace/full kitchen w/dishwasher, cable tv, free wi-fi, recliner chairs and superb sleep accommodations await you. Kitchen gadgets replace all the comforts of home. Owners super accommodating/always been available. New upgrades each year whether it be dishes, furniture or carpeting.
Staying here twice a year for 5+ yrs, at different times of year. Always been more than satisfied. Embarrassed that just now writing a review; but determined to get the New Year off to a good start!
If you seek an extremely clean, comfortable, well-furnished, historical home, with all the little touches that mean so much (soap, dish detergent, coffee, tea, paper products, etc. to get you started), you will not be disappointed.
I have stayed for a few days to as a long as a week , with only my husband, as well as with grown daughters and grandchildren. All parties have been equally pleased with accommodations.
A true home away from home.
Favorite tried and true restaurants: Blue Pig, Frieda's, 410 Bank St, Lucky Bones, Oyster Bay, Uncle Bill's Pancake House, Louisa's, Mad Batter, George's Place, C View Inn and Cape Orient (in no particular order).
Perfect for couples/families/girls vacation.
Cape May is a seaside resort that brims with activities year round. In approximately 1-2 square miles you will find the highest concentration of Victorian architecture in the US. Charming tree-lined streets-many still lighted by gas lights-welcome the horse-drawn carriages, trolley and walking tours. For many, Cape May is considered the restaurant capitol of NJ! Whale and dolphin watching tours, biking and fishing are among the many pastimes that visitors enjoy. And don't miss the sunsets!
Other Activities: Historic home tours and tea
