Our Leland House-Outside:
Our Leland House is situated on a double lot. The side yard can be used for all sorts of yard games, including volleyball and badminton. There is a picnic table on the deck, gas grill, 2 car parking, and a boardwalk along the side to spray off the sand.
Our Leland House-Inside:
There is a TV room just off the kitchen (no photo). We also have a 'mudroom' off the kitchen where you can hang up wet towels and suits. Shoes are dropped off in the mudroom as well in order to keep the sand outside! The stacking washer and dryer are located on the main floor just off the bathroom. We have a cable TV with HBO and Showtime. Wireless internet provides contact with the outside world.
Our Leland House-The Village:
We are just two blocks south from downtown Leland which offers a variety of shops, restaurants, art galleries, gourmet food market, fishing charters, island charters, Fishtown, a beautiful harbor, great bookstore, library, a terrific historical building and we even have a gas station! Two blocks west finds you standing on the beautiful beach of Lake Michigan. Directly across you can see the Manitou Islands and south you see Pyramid Point and to the north Fox Island. Walk south three blocks and you are looking at Lake Leelanau. We have magnificent sunrises on Lake Leelanau and spectacular sunsets on Lake Michigan.
Golf:
There are over 50 outstanding courses within 55 minutes from Leland, including Grand Traverse, Arcadia Bluffs, Leelanau at Bailey Farms, Kings Challenge to name a few.
